  1. We go trick or treating around our neighborhood. We have met most of our neighbors and know them well, so I feel safe taking my daughter around. I like the glow stick idea. I will have to do that this year. We also check all the candy before we let our daughter eat any.

  2. Great tips! Halloween is so much fun…yet it really does go against much of what we teach our kids, from not taking candy from strangers to walking in the streets at nighttime! Great tip about finding a costume that makes it easy for a kid to remove to use the bathroom. I suppose it only takes one time of that happening and one would never forget again, but better to avoid it in the first place!

  3. I always go Trick-or-Treating with my son. Sometimes I get to dress up as well to match him. This year, the plan is definitely to stay local; our neighborhood is full of kids!

  4. I love the idea to be bathroom friendly. As soon as we get littles into costumes, someone has to go to the bathroom.

  5. Our neighborhood is usually packed when it comes to trick or treaters on Halloween. We usually run out of candy really early. I know one year we ran out and the streets were so packed with cars that we couldn’t get out to buy any more candy!

  6. I always made sure the kids did not wear a mask when they went out trick or treating. It is to hard to see with one on. These are great tips. I love to see all the kids dressed up.

  7. We have been talking about costumes already. We like to make our costumes so we need to get an early start. These are great tips. I make sure the kids have a flashing clip on light attached to the back.

  8. These are all wonderful tips. I can’t believe that Halloween will be here before you know it. I always make sure my girls are with me since they’re young yet, but when they get older these tips will come in handy.

  9. Great tips! Halloween seems so far away but really it’s just a few months from now. My boys are already deciding what they are going to be

  10. These tips are really good. It’s important that kids get taught these things before they go out, I know my parents taught me some of these when I was little.

  11. Halloween is one of my favorite times of year. I like to throw a party and go all out for it. These are great tips for trick or treating.
