Not So Wordless Wednesday

I usually do a Wordless Wednesday post but honestly today I feel like talking so I am going to talk with pictures too! This past weekend was a great and horrible weekend all at once! Let me explain …

Last weekend was our towns Winter Carnival which means a lot of fun filled events and activities for children and adults! Take Saturday for example, my daughter, AJ and I were to ride on a float through the town for the Winter Carnival Parade and boy was that fun ….

As you may or may not know, my left leg has been really killing me and so that is one of the biggest reasons I chose to ride on the float with the kids instead of walk beside it. Needless to say I didn’t realize that we would have to walk from the other side of town back to my car after because the float doesn’t bring you back to where the parade started! So I headed back with my daughter, her father and AJ.  AJ doesn’t like to walk for long and he has a very short attention span, meaning he was all ready to jump off the float before it even arrived at the end and of course he was all set on walking all the way back to Mommy’s car to go home for lunch! So my daughter’s father gave him a shoulder ride most of the way back to the car.

After we arrived home, freezing cold and Mama ready for a nap my daughter informs me she wants to go on the bounce houses down at the common. I think about it and look at the brochure to find that the bounce houses close in an hour from the time she asked me, so we got our coats back on and headed down to the common to enjoy the scenery and let her have some fun in the bounce houses while Mama froze a bit more … although I do like this picture of her sitting inside of the HUGE snow castle sculpture:

Mind you this is after eating only two cinnamon rolls made by Ki earlier that morning … see this is us enjoying our breakfast together:

So we had a good but horrible day … it was a perfect blend as I enjoy life being! What did you do this past weekend?
