I recall never liking coffee, at all. I loved coffee flavored things, coffee ice cream was my all time favorite, but then it happened – I started working in New London, NH as an administrative assistant with a high paced, multi-tasking job. I needed coffee. I started drinking coffee. I became addicted to coffee.
I now get a headache if I try to go without coffee. I seriously do. The thing is, I can not even do decaffeinated coffee either because I still get that headache. I recall that there was this one week where my head was pounding, I could not break this migraine – at all. Then I noticed something, one night I was preparing my coffee machine so that I could simply wake up and hit “brew” the next morning, my coffee grinds had a big green stripe on the can… what was it you ask? It was decaffeinated coffee – so wrong!
I put myself into a migraine central week by purchasing the wrong coffee, it had zero caffeine and my brain was on fire from lack of caffeine. Never again will I be so absent minded as to not look at the label when purchasing a coffee brand I am not used to purchasing.
So here it is, Monday .. let’s get this week started with my caffeinated coffee in the form of an IV…. Happy Monday everyone!
So Easter is well over, but you can still have HEXBUG Nano party, and here is how! First you want to have HEXBUG Nano’s to rock the party and these little species are awesome and addictive to play with.
To throw the best HEXBUG non party you must start with what to serve. My daughter chose this recipe:
6 oz frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed.
2 liters ginger ale
1 small container, green sherbert
1 cup raisins
In a large punch bowl, combine frozen lemonade and ginger ale, mixing until lemonade is completely dissolved.
When ready to serve, add scoops of green sherbert to the bowl to chill, placing raisins on top to resemble teeny tiny bugs!
3.9 oz JELL-O Chocolate instant pudding
1 cup cold milk
8 oz cool whip topping
15 OREO cookies, finely crushed
1 package gummy worms
Small paper or plastic cups
Mix pudding & milk in a large bowl, let stand for 5 minutes
Stir in Cool Whip and 1/2 of the OREO cookie crumbs
Spoon mixture into paper or plastic cups and refrigerate for 1 hour
Before serving, top off the cups with remaining cookie crumbs and a few gummy worms
I have always been a big water drinker and that habit was passed onto my daughter but the boys, forget it, they have had little interest in water. AJ loves juice and/or soda. Baby K loves him some milk, all day long. I do not drink my well water, gross. Although my well water has tested completely clean and actually really good water to drink, the taste is awful and I won’t drink it so I buy bottled water and a big old water jug for the fridge to fill my water bottles.
I found out that if I buy bottled water and simply fill the water bottles and leave them in the fridge that my sons have a new found love of water. My sons will beg to drink bottled water and seriously will drink it all day long. I can even refill it from my tap because they drink the tap water, the rest of us don’t but the boys don’t seem to care where the water comes from as long as it is in a bottle.
The other night I was able to taste test the Best Bargain Wine which was a bottle of 2009 malbec red wine. After a long fight and some Facebook conversations about how to use a corkscrew I was able to open the wine.
Can you tell those are Mama had a long, rough day eyes? Oh yes they are so when I had to fight with a corkscrew because I haven’t ever had “real” wine with a cork before I started laughing at myself before I enjoyed a sip of this wine.
I was certainly expecting a real wine sort of taste but wasn’t sure if the taste of the malbec red wine would be bitter or sweet. I think this wine is a bit more bitter than sweet. The malbec red wine has some dishes shared on AllRecipes.com that will show you what recipes to pair up with malbec so I think my next glass will come with a good slow cooker beef stew meal!
