This is a question for many parents as they have to figure out ways to support their family while still making it worth paying daycare costs. It seems the cost of everything has gone up and many families are found leaving kids home alone at earlier ages than in my years of growing up. Mind you, I do recall being home alone around age 12 with my little sister who is four years younger than me. We did just fine but we often were left to tend to ourselves from what my memory recalls and while we fought a lot as siblings, we both worked well being home alone for the most part. My Grampa is Getting Older

My Grampa on my Dad’s side is 90 or close to it, maybe even in his early 90’s, honestly I am not quite sure his age but I am quite sure that he is at an age where he should be sitting back, relaxing and enjoying these last years of his life. While I will be super sad when my Grampa does pass because I love him dearly, he has lived a super long life and done so much. I Feel Invisible

Well, not me. My daughter. The tween. Says she feels invisible at school. While driving down the road my daughter and I have most of our random conversations. It seems, as of late, that is the easiest place for her to open up with whatever may be on her mind. She is 10 and will be 11 in October. The tween years. That middle stage of childhood. The testing  years of trying to find yourself and who your real friends are. Apparently at this age, everyone is dating. So says the daughter. Of course, she isn’t allowed to date per say.
