This last Sunday the kids and I packed up to go meet with the landlords to discuss some things and then we headed off to my Dad and Step Mama’s home for a family Sunday. The kids and I arrived to my Dad’s to find water guns ….
That girl probably had way too much fun using that water gun against her little brothers .. shown here she is ready to aim and fire that water at little K-man. The kids used the outdoor hose to fill the water guns, which led to this situation …
“I Love water in my face” said the little boy, he is always soaking his body with some form of water, the child sweats like crazy. I hope he gets a hair cut soon too, would help with the sweating issue, I am sure.
Then my little sis arrived with her ex husband/boyfriend and their little girl. I had to get a selfie in with the sis upon her arrival, she is turning 30 on July 17th … I can’t believe it!
We played some UNO, well the kids did. I have found in order to keep the peace at my Dad’s when we visit, I must pack up some various board games for their entertainment. Speaking of which, I think we left UNO at my Dad’s house… uh oh!
This little cutie is Miss Livy, who is full of life and energy! She was loving having time with her cousins on this fine Sunday … and boy is she growing fast!
It was nice to see the cousins together, my trio plus my sisters little girl enjoyed each others company. Next up, the badmitten net was put up and we all enjoyed some badmitten amusement, even my Dad played. I think by this point he had set down his alcoholic beverage, wild turkey I think? Because it was GAME ON!
My sons even played a bit with Miss Livy in badmitten, too cute … last but not least I had to get a little selfie in with my Father … of course Bunny ears tend to be a must with photos I take of him and me …
We ate up smoked turkey, had never had it before. We ate up some pasta salad and had a fabulous time chatting, laughing and just being one big, happy family. I truly am blessed to have this connection with my Father, Step Mama, Sister and our children – I hope the children grow up with fond memories of our random family get togethers during the Summer Seasons!
