Disclosure: I received complimentary access to Killington Mountain Resort and Adventure Center, all opinions are my own.
The time had come, our bags were packed and this Mama had all of our bags on my shoulders, ready to pack it up in the Town & Country. The kids were getting a little stir crazy waiting for our departure time from NH to get to Killington, VT.
I had a bag of goodies packed to keep them boys busy and to ensure they did not complain for our hour and a half drive up to Killington, VT. The ride was decent, although my first set of directions from MapQuest sent us on a very scenic drive through Route 100, but it was great to see some sights on our way up.
We arrived, checked in and the guest services at front desk were simply amazing, kind and polite! The people who worked at the check in desk proved to be very friendly and helpful at all times of our visit.
We ventured down the hallway to our suite so that we could drop off our many bags, items and get settled into the suite. The kids were so excited to be in a one bedroom suite, you see this is the very first time my kids have ever been to a hotel!
I had to laugh when my daughter came running out of the suite bedroom, all excited over having bath robes hanging in the bedroom, “we have bath robes!!” she exclaimed.
The boys decided that the bedroom was theirs for the night and quickly took over the bed and television in that bedroom, which was fine to me – they could happily stay sleeping in a bedroom versus the middle of living room Murphy bed or sofa bed in my opinion.
The one bedroom suite in the Killington Mountain Resort Grand Hotel included a full kitchen, one bathroom, one bedroom with a queen bed, a living room equipped with a queen pull out sofa and queen Murphy style bed. We also had a TV in bedroom and TV with DVD player in the living room. The balcony shown above, was just off our living room in the suite and proved to be the favorite hang out spot for the kids while we were in our room.
Once we were all settled in, we decided to take a walk around the facilities to see what we see and figure out where all of the Adventure Center attractions were for our next day of fun!
This was the best change of scenery for us, ever! The kids got along amazingly and worked well together, shown here crossing the bridge to the Killington Mountain Adventure Center area in the evening on Friday, July 3rd. The hotel staff was great at keeping the room cleaned up with fresh coffee, and linens. The spacious one-bedroom suite was perfect for our little family of four and while I didn’t sleep so well as I ended up sharing the Murphy bed with my six year old – we had a total blast being pampered staying at the Killington Mountain Resort Grand Hotel.
The kids are already asking when we can do this again! They hope we get invited back to stay next Summer. I do plan on going back when their Coaster Ride is ready, towards end of July as part of the Adventure Center attractions. Keep an eye out for my other posts about our trip to Killington Mountain Resort in Killington, VT as I have a lot to tell you about this fabulous location.
