1. Cinderella

Expected release date – March 13, 2015

This is one of the most-awaited movies of all times. The classic story of the Disney princess will come to live, once again. In 1950, the animated film was a hit, and it was appreciated by the masses. Next year, we will be able to see the classic in a cinema near you. Keep watching this space to know more about who will bag the role of Cinderella and Prince Charming.

2. Moana

Expected release date – Late 2016

This story is about Moana, the 14-year old navigator, who is on her way to look for a fabled island. The journey will help her meet Maui, the legendary demi-god. This is where things change and a simple journey turns into an action-packed voyage. This will be one of the most incredible journeys witnessed by a Disney characters. Wait, till we get you an interesting update about it.

3. Toy Story 4

Expected release date – June 16, 2017

If you have missed Buzz, Woody, and the rest of the characters of the Toy Story series, check this! They are coming back!
This movie had the fans confused. Yes, it was in the Pixar bag all this time and they had no plans to work on this series anymore. However, Disney picked up on it and finally, on November 6, 2014, confirmed that they are working on this project.

The point to be noted is that the third installment in this series ended in a way that there was no real scope to continue. It will be interesting to see how Disney progresses with it and what will be the outcome of it. Will it be a hit (like the first three installments) or will be one of the rare flops in the Disney world?

4. Alice in Wonderland: Through the Looking Glass

Expected release date: May 27, 2016

If you have loved the first part, Alice in Wonderland, this one will excite you. With the plot still under the wraps, here is an interesting update about this animated flick. Sacha Baron Cohen is set to join the film as the unrevealed villain. Mia Wasikowska and Johnny Depp are set to be back in their roles.

5. The Good Dinosaur

Expected release date: November 25, 2015

Disney loves dinosaurs and this time they have come up with the concept of the ‘good’ dinosaur. This story is not about how dinosaurs lived before they got extinct. Instead, it focuses on what would have been the scenario if the giant asteroid had not hit mother Earth. Having said that, the dinosaurs would not have been extinct. This story has a main character moving around with a little cute dinosaur.

6. Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast

Expected release date: December 12, 2014

Most of us love this series and know about this flick coming soon to a cinema near you.

Talking about the plot, this movie is about Fawn befriending NeverBeast, a huge and mysterious creature. Tink and her best friends have second thoughts about including the scary creature to Pixie Hollow. On one hand, Fawn tries to save NeverBeast and, on the other hand, the elite Scout Fairies will try to stop him from destroying their homes.

Not many of us know that this might be the last installment in the series. If you don’t want to miss this Disney Fairy, be ready and book your tickets at the earliest.

7. Pirates of the Caribbean 5: Dead Men Tell No Tales

Expected release date – 2016

Our favorite pirate, Captain Jack Sparrow, is back!

The plot is still a secret, but a little birdie confirms that Will Turner (played by Orlando Bloom) will be back in this upcoming film.

8. Finding Dory

Expected release date – June 17, 2016

Sequel to the 2003 Pixar movie, this is something you will appreciate. The common characters; Nemo, Marlin, the Tank Guard, and Dory are back. The biggest revelation till now is that Dory is a witch doctor.

Another interesting fact is that popular Comedian and talk show host, Ellen DeGeneres, will lend her voice to Dory.

9. Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens

Expected release date – December 18, 2015

“It’s an original story.”

Speaking about the plot for Star Wars Episode VII, a Lucasfilm source said.

So, the expectations from the film are high, very high!

The Star Wars series is one of the best American/ Science Fiction series, and it has kept fans waiting for long. Well, almost ten years ago, we saw the sixth installment in the series; Revenge of the Sith, and now we have the seventh installment. The gap is too long and it will be interesting to see how others respond to this flick.

How many of us remember Simba and his journey. Now, we will see the heroics of Kion, Simba’s son.
