As a work at home parent you have to juggle your time between many areas of your life such as family, networking, marketing and completing tasks. I would like to think that I have become pretty good at time management, I am the type of person who thrives on multi-tasking, I seriously love having my plate full. I rarely stress over it, but when you mix in personal life I certainly can have my moments of down time where I just let the personal issues consume my mind.
As a work at home parent you must learn to block those negative thoughts or depressing thoughts from consuming your mind so that you can be a productive home worker. What I have found to work best to be successful for time management is a daily to do list, scheduling blog posts on the weekend to cover the whole week, and to take the time to really focus on completing tasks when the children are asleep. At this time I do not have the funds to hire a full time babysitter to come to my home, but on occasion I will have my sister come over to assist. One day I hope to have the funds to hire a babysitter or to place the boys in daycare a couple days a week, but for now I am juggling everything at once.
Juggling can be messy, think about that clown who starts to juggle way too fast and then he drops everything out of his hands … you don’t want to be that clown. You want to be the clown that can juggle at a slow and steady pace that makes everything run smoothly and in turn create a successful home business that will give your family the financial freedom they need.
Try to create a to do list each night and list each item in order based on priority levels. The most important task that has to be completed must be listed first and those tasks that could possibly wait until another day can be listed towards the bottom of your list. If you only complete those tasks labeled as a priority then do not let yourself get down about it, move forward and add those not so important tasks to the next days to do list but keep them towards the top. Each day follow this method of creating a to do list and you will find that your mind will be more positive, your energy level boosted and your business will start to thrive.
Aside from a to do list you can use Google Calendar with task list, you can keep a pad of paper handy to write any articles on for use at a later date, and you can use your Blackberry to add tasks that must be completed so that the alarm will go off to remind you. There are so many ways to be better at juggling time, I am curious what works best for you?

Thanks for the tips! I work from my home and have three kids. Two are in school and the third is in prek all day, so that definitely helps, but school is not really all day! The day certainly goes fast. Not enough hours! Following you!
I have been trying really hard to implement the list idea and also prewrite certain posts. My problem is that I am finding myself getting busy with other projects and I am side tracked pretty easily. Also, I do notice that if I am depressed in my personal life that it definitely effects my blog life. I just don’t feel like doing anything. Having the prewritten posts would definitely come in handy for times like that. Thanks for the tips!

Despite my to do lists, I feel like I’m juggling poorly lately. Thanks for the advice.
