Bananas are great for potassium, as most of us know, but did you realize that bananas also have tryptophan which is chemical found in your brain to stabilize mood. Number Two Food to Change your Mood – Walnuts & Flax
I personally have never eaten flax, but they say walnuts and flax work to keep woman, specifically, from being depressed. Nuts & seeds, most commonly walnuts & flax contain alpha-linolenic acid and woman who have completed studies with the most ALA in their system were less likely to be depressed according to a multitude of studies. Low levels of ALA decrease your brains dopamine which is the chemical for happiness! It sounds like if you eat up on walnuts & flax seeds, then you may have a higher chance to increase dopamine, thus having a higher percentage rate of happiness.
Number Three Food to Change your Mood – Coffee
According to multiple studies, it has been shown that woman who drink two to three cups of caffeinated coffee a day were shown to have a 15% less chance of being depressed. Caffeinated coffee works similar to crack cocaine where it increases dopamine and serotonin transmission within 30 minutes! That’s some fast, harmless boost of happiness, huh? So the next time someone gives you a hard time for drinking a lot of caffeinated coffee, just inform them you are working on boosting your happy.

Anxiety has been linked to low levels of zinc in your body, oysters are full of zinc which in turn can help alleviate anxiety levels. Other foods rich in zinc are; crab, beef, poultry and dairy. Thrive each day to ensure you are eating a selection of foods that boost your zinc levels within your body and find yourself with less anxiety. I think I shall be attempting this method, as my anxiety has been off the charts lately.
