  1. I hate when I see parents counting down to school starting. I love my kids during summer. Only once last year did I have a OMGoodness moment. And this year we are going strong with love and fun. They are children. They tire quickly with stimulation and change and they way they act when tired isn’t just “sleepy”. My boys get “giddy” acting extra silly and not listening as well. And then come the easy tears, they may cry over something that normally won’t phase them… Because they are busy/hot/tired/ – it’s summer! Don’t take it personally, just give them time to cool off/relax/chill and then go again when they are ready. Yelling (as a parent) won’t help … It just means the parent needs time to chill too. Lol.
