So you have your website or blog all set up and you are wondering; now what? I would assume if your website is ready to roll then you want to get visitors next, right?!
During this weekly series I will show you what I have done to get a Google Page Rank of 3, Alexa Rank of 105,474 and an average 6,146 unique visitors each month. This series is not a guarantee that you will get the same traffic or rankings as myself (maybe you will get higher than me), but merely a way to show you what methods I have implemented to ensure traffic gets to Happily Blended; a place to meet up for positive energy, giveaways and support!
Within the next few weeks you will see a series of blog posts written as a way to educate you on how I analyze my traffic stats, keywords that bring visitors to my blog, and an overall view of how various online techniques and services can work to increase your search engine rankings and visitor counts. Most if not all of the tools I recommend will be free or low cost, please subscribe to Happily Blended via email or RSS feed to ensure you are getting the weekly updates for this series: Getting Website Traffic.
First step is to ensure you have a feed set up for readers to subscribe to and possibly an email marketing list such as MailChimp to ensure you have a way to reach your readers with updates. I personally recommend Feedburner for your blog updates, it’s free to use! I also recommend that you set up both RSS Feed and Email Options so that you may reach a wider audience. If you are a website owner without a blog the newsletter option is best for you.
I have set up my comments with a subscription option, so if you look below the comment area you may check to subscribe to comments, this is a way for us to keep up to date with any further questions or answers received during the series. Be sure to add your tips, answers, and questions in the comment area so that we may all learn from each other.
If you subscribe to the comments you may opt out at any time or update your information should your contact details change.
** All information provided during this series is based on personal experience and is being offered at no cost, if at any time you wish to guest blog about your experience and what works for you please contact me directly and if you feel information being provided has helped you in anyway maybe consider a donation on my sidebar area to buy a cup of coffee to feed my blog. Neither works for you? A simple comment always makes me smile!

This is a good introduction to traffic attraction. Over on “Gaiatribe” I use multiple methods including MyBlogLog, Blog Catalog, Blog Explosion, and CommentLuv. I also have some regular posts like the Weekend Meet’n’Greet for audience interaction, and I watch the news for articles in my topic range which I post in the Three Questions series.
