One of the things I worried about when deciding to change my blog name was my google page rank – which was 3 in just a few short months of blogging at Writings of a WAHM. I am determined to get my rank back up super fast, but know it takes time for Google to index my website.
I must admit I do not like that my PR went from 3 to N/A, but since I got a PR of 3 in just a few short months I know I can do the same here. I have so many supportive friends, and have learned so much in the little time I have been blogging. Don’t get me wrong, I still have a lot more to learn, but I am taking it in fast and enjoy learning a new SEO and blogging tip each day.
The main reason behind switching blog names was that the whole “Writings of a WAHM” was boring – it gave me the idea of a mom who is going to either a) sell you something or b) write about her journeys as a WAHM {work at home mom}. Neither of which applied to my writing nor my blog.
Although I am a mom, and I do have my own virtual assistant business, I am here to write, help others, tell you which products I just have to have, which products you just have to have, and even have a giveaway from time to time. Writing has been a passion of mine since I was 12 years old, I still have my journal pad I wrote poems on in school.
Writing is what keeps my mind clear, it helps me focus. If I am having a bad day, I write. If the kids are being crazy or even just silly, I write. If my hubby is working long hours and I am lonely, I write.
I hope you will continue to read my blog posts here at Happily Blended, because they will be optimistic, supportive and occasionally silly with mild scarism. Happily Blended is not only the new name for my blog – it’s who I am as a mom, a sister, a daughter and a wife. I am a little bit of everything – a simply happy blend.

I’m with you – I changed my blog url a couple months ago and it took about a month (a month of nail-biting, haha) to get my rank back, and it was a 3 again thankfully. It won’t take you long! 🙂
