The world is changing for you as a parent and your daughter as a young girl as she heads into being more of a young woman, yet still your minor child. The years of hormone changes and getting a menstrual cycle can be challenging. During these times of body and hormone changes it is …

They come in all shapes and sizes with brain power in that little baby head beyond our understanding. What happens when you insert the children of this world into the real world and they start to hear other people’s views? These children who are sweet and …

I finally was able to sit down and watch The Vow, a movie I had wanted to see upon it’s theater release, however, being a work from home mother of three going to the theater rarely happens. I sat down with popcorn in bowl and clicked play, prepared to release whatever emotions The Vow brought out. The one thing I walked away from with the movie The Vow was the fact that we tend to hold higher standards for our loved ones. The person we married or are in a long term commitment with are sometimes held to such a high standard that one small mistake is held against them forever. It’s impossible for us to be perfect so why do so many partners think that their partner could not …

Christmas Eve the parents are hurrying to wrap presents and I know I wasn’t alone in that as I watched many parents on Facebook talk about how late they were going to be up wrapping presents just to have their kids rip through the paper the next morning quicker than my 3 year old can run from one side of the house to the other. Christmas is a wonderful time to be reminded of family and being grateful for the things we have, but when you are a child you long to see what Santa Claus is bringing you and hope that he brings that special something on your list. Each year I watch as my kids are ecstatic about the gifts underneath our tree but then a few weeks …

Since November is National Child Safety Protection Month I thought I would share some things I do around my home to ensure my children are safe. I am the work at home mother of three children; two boys who are 3 and 5, one girl who is 9 years old, the boys are the most curious of my three children and so most of my safety tips are for young curious children like my double trouble team. Safety Tip # 1 — Scissors Look Cool, but are Not Cool One day my youngest apparently woke up with the love of scissors, maybe it’s from all that craft time his sister and I spend together or maybe it’s just the fact that he is a boy and scissors look like a …

When I was younger I was often told that I looked like Demi Moore, actually one girl I went to high school with her Mom to this day will occasionally say “hey Demi” because that is what she always said when I was younger. I am working on having my hair get colored back to my natural hair color of the dark black like Demi and maybe if I start working out again which causes my facial features to be lifted and arms to be a bit more firm I will look closer to Demi again. She is hot after all, especially for her age. I am …
