I went to Market Basket today with my three kids in tow. I normally try to plan shopping for a weekend or a day when I have no children but today there is no school and Friday is the day when money hits the bank account to get some amount of food for the home. This week it was especially important that I go grocery shopping to at least get thru the weekend because we had peas and egg noodles for dinner last night we are that out of food here. A grocery trip at some level was required today. I always plan a “grocery shopping with kid(s) in tow” based on the best time of day for them. As a parent we all know when the best time of …

Working from home is a blessing, and honestly I am not so sure “anyone” can do it, even though I have said that in the past. The reason I am starting to believe that not everyone can do it is because it’s extremely difficult to step away from work when it’s family time if your office is in your home. Being self employed has it’s ups and downs. For sure, trying to collect payments from clients really can stink some times. Especially when you see the bill due dates and yet these people …

So you are ready to take the leap and become a work at home parent but uncertain how to get started, what you can do and if direct sales is an option. I am here to help show you the things I thought about before jumping into the work at home mom position. How Much Money Do I Need To Make This would be the first question to ask yourself. Sit down and figure out a budget, something like the budget sheet I use in Microsoft Excel. Figure out how much your bills are a month, figure out how much you need to have weekly to survive. This will be frustrating at first, as it was for me. My bills were and still are way more than any income I …
