That is because I have made a conscious decision to smile through the rain. I also made a conscious decision to focus on what makes me happy and try not to let what I can’t control run me down. The problem with that theory on life is that at times everything comes down at once and the smiles, happy go lucky mindset is unable to keep up. I crash. I literally lay down and pass out to sleep numerous hours. My mind decides it can’t take any more and my …

I’m wondering if this is going to read like True Confessions; however, it is all true and it will show that bad boys can become good boys and men really only want the same things that women do. I am 60-years-old and have been married for two years to Christine, my third wife. She is precious to me and I have a very strong love for her. I met and married my college sweetheart in 1969, had our son in 1971 and was ‘happily’ married for almost twenty years. My profession is in retail and I manage sales people for a living. Along the way, women impress and flirt–and if you are a people person like I am–you sometimes flirt back. One thing leads to another and I was having …

I recently was shared an article on It’s My Life about Introvert and Extrovert. I really never gave these two words much thought before, but reading this blog post in the beginning I thought I am more of an extrovert with a bit of introvert qualities at times. Then I read more about introverts and extroverts. Direct quote from It’s My Life {{totally me}}: Did you know that extroverts recharge their energy by being around other people? It’s like we feed off the energy being put out. Most extroverts come home from parties buzzing and high on the collective energy they bathed in all night. Introverts on the other hand, are drained by being in public and recharge by being alone. This may be a big reason why I love …

I am a firm believer that actions speak louder than words. It is all too easy to say words, and for me it’s easy to write words, however, actions are what truly show how you are feeling towards a person. Involuntary body gestures show exactly what a person may be thinking or feeling towards you. In my own opinion if a person tells me that they are in love with me, then they would show this through affection, attention, support and little moments. I recently read an article that reminded me of the characteristics I have displayed in my dating life, jumping into a committed relationship before I truly knew this man was the man for me. In my past I always went for the person who showed me the …

One thing I have been reading about around the Internet and other work at home parent’s blogs is that it’s so hard for them to “shut off” business and get back to family time when they have a home office rather than an “out of the home office”. For example, my husband leaves his job, comes home to his family and voila it’s “family time”. I, am at work all day and all night long, my home. Lately I have been found on my computer, checking “just one more email” or “writing just one more blog post” when all of a sudden I am on the computer for two hours. Next thing I know I have to eat dinner, get the kids in bed and then myself in bed. I …

Good Morning! As I was laying in bed last night thinking about tonights #gno party on twitter and my session at Rock Your Blog, I realized that a blog can only be successful if it has READERS. I would also like to say the support system of a blog is it’s comments. {hint hint} If you are a beginner or even advanced blogger you must spend daily time visiting other peoples blogs reading and commenting, tweeting on twitter and attending any twitter party you can. DO NOT go commenting random sentences on others blogs {like hey love your blog visit mine}, and tweeting junk on twitter {read my blog, shop my site, etc} because you will lose your support system and eventually your blog just “may” fail. Put forth a …
