What’s Your Sign? Zodiac Signs Changed?!

Image via Wikipedia According to some article on The Huffington Post, our zodiac signs have changed. This may or may not affect everyone, but it has affected me. My first thought when I saw that according to the new alignment of the Earth and the sun my zodiac sign went from Scorpio to Virgo was “I am so glad I didn’t get that tattoo I wanted of a Scorpio zodiac sign”. On the other hand my sister did get a tattoo of her zodiac sign Cancer but according to the new signs she is now a Gemini. So sorry sis, but hey that Cancer tat is hot so don’t worry girl! This is a continued topic discussion from yesterdays Part one post about being yourself as a blogger. I wanted to split up my discussion into two posts for the reason that today I am going to touch base on the type of bloggers who are truly setting up a blog to vent, be someone else or just don’t wish to share their personal life on their blog. You know I have never been to a blogger conference in the 1 year and eight months that I have been a blogger, does this upset me? In some ways, yes, as I would love to put a face with the bloggers I have been reading about for so long but overall I am happy trying to pay my bills and get my own financial situation straight than try to pay the fees to get into a conference just so I can meet some people who may end up being nothing like their blogs portray them to be. Let’s Talk About Product Reviews as Income

I have to get this off my chest, my two cents about why I understand the whole point behind claiming product reviews, but why I think it’s going to cause an issue when it comes to claiming them as “income“. As a blogger we are required to claim the products we receive for free as income because reality is the product is our payment to write a post sharing our honest opinion about the product. I get it, the IRS wants to get their part in the tax area, totally understand that. The big businesses are dishing out free products to bloggers in exchange for a review which means it’s a marketing expense write off. Big business (or small) saves money on taxes because they now have all these wonderful …

Every year I watch as my children get older and older. We run into family or long time friends that we’ve lost touch with in the stores and the first response is usually “wow so and so is getting so big” or “wow is that the baby?” Yes they are and yes that is the “baby”, not so much of a baby anymore now is he?!
