You are doing a great service for your son by reading up on autism and learning as much about it as you can. Autism is so complex and can effect two children with the diagnosis differently, so it’s good to know as much about it as you can.

I don’t have a direct connection with anyone with autism, but I do feel it is very important to be educated regarding it. I want my children to treat others with compassion regardless of any diagnoses they may have.

I think it’s great that you are keeping yourself very informed of how to best help your child. There are so many resources available now (I have a friend with 2 autistic sons that tells me all about new research) that it’s a much more hopeful world of possibilities. Best of luck to you guys! 🙂
