My kids weren’t particularly social with the neighbor adults, but with the children, yes. As for me, I’m friendly when I see them, but I don’t necessarily want to get caught in a conversation.

I am pretty social, I like to talk too 🙂 My kids are more shy, but when they get to know you, they are super talkative!

I think that is great, and would be saddened as well. But on a plus, you can show your children how to be friendly with new neighbors when you move! My kids are always talking to both of our neighbors although the ones on the right of us aren’t the nicest family.
