Isn’t the ‘friends’ thing what that Billy Cyrus did with Miley and now he’s regretting it? If kids can’t turn to their parents they will turn to their peers which have as little or less experience as them. Things have changed since we were young and there are A LOT more things to worry about. If we don’t protect them, who will?

It constantly amazes me how many people put so little effort into their children, and it is not a SAHM, WAHM or workining outside the home issue… it is a general attitude.

I don’t know if parents realize that most of the out of school or after school programs can be free if they apply for them or what not. NO clue. We do have a school program, local library and rec center – all of which are free to begin with OR have free options for struggling families so I think there are options. I just don’t understand why many won’t use them, many it’s a pride thing not wanting to share your income level to get a “scholarship” for the program. IDK. Honestly, I would take kids after school for FREE just to know they are safe off of the streets and not home alone at such a young age.

Yeah, 9 is so young! I am definitely not ready for him to be on any type of online forum at all! Ever since those family members mentioned it…. I know he is questioning why he isn’t allowed. I keep running into this problem with people….. imposing their ideas of how I should raise my family and not being discrete about it either! Its so bizarre!
