The other day I realized that my sons have WAY too many toys, if there is such a thing. All of my sons toys are things that they actually enjoy from time to time though. I don’t believe one item in their room goes not touched during a week home with me. They have matchbox cars, big trucks and cars, Little People and Little People houses, Chuggington Train sets and trains and miscellaneous bouncy balls and such.
As I get ready to pack up and move I realized that my sons are going to have a bigger room to share which means, I need to organize! Currently, my sons have two medium sized totes full of toys, one tote for Chuggington only items and another for miscellaneous toys, mainly dinosaurs. The boys also have a cardboard box full of Mega Bloks and a small mesh basket thing full of their cars and trucks. The closet in my son’s room is FULL of stuffed animals and that is where the boys hang out with their big sis pretending they are puppies or dragons.
One item I am thinking will work great as a way to help keep the boys organized and encouraged to enjoy all of their toys is this bin that I saw on Amazon. I had one of these bin items before for my sons but it was too small and eventually didn’t work for their collection of larger toys, however, I am thinking that an item like this bin organizer with the Cars theme will totally get them picking up their toys and being able to enjoy toys together with Mama and their sis.
My children LOVE books, the boys and my daughter read often together with me and alone. Actually, my daughter and four-year-old son are currently writing their own story which is really awesome! This organizer for books will totally help create a great place for their books to be placed after reading time is over.
How do you find a way to organize your children’s toy collections?
