  2. Wow! Such a sad thing to happen…loosing the tail, but it really is a beautiful thing that people reached out to help this dolphin and taught it to swim again.

  3. I think it’s cool that the scientists and prosthetic company got together to make Winter a new tail! It’s also cool how they get it to stay on. I wondered about that!

  5. It is amazing to me what can be done with prosthetics these days. Even the nylon sleeve had to be designed in such a manner that it would not just come off in the water. Amazing!

  7. Very impressive prosthetics! My husband has a prosthetic leg and though our grandkids have grown used to it, its another story when they come in with friends and he doesn’t have his leg on. I’d like to share this with them. Thanks!

  10. I read an article in Reader’s Digest(October issue) I think about Winter and a young woman. Because of the technology that enabled Winter to have a tail, this same technology helped the young woman get a leg
