Thank you for posting that. I completely agree with you 100%. I kept a calendar next to my breast pump with the two-week mark circled in red. It was my encouragement to keep going, but it was also my reminder that I ultimately needed a boundary if all my efforts weren’t successful. In the end, I think knowing I had a “hard stop” helped me relax because I knew the time I would spend trying was not indefinite if it didn’t work.

Thanks for sharing! And also, thank you for mentioning how important it is for moms to do what they need to do to preserve their sanity, even if it means stopping BF’ing. I’m a big proponent of BF’ing when it works for all parties involved (mom and kiddo) but also well aware from my own experience that it doesn’t always work out and that obsessing about it can drive the whole house crazy. 🙂 I’m glad this all worked out for you and you made it through!
