Hallmark Keepsake Chuggington Ornament

I am so sad to say that after year end, the Chuggington Conductor program will not be a part of my life here on this blog. The boys are getting older and the original program is saying goodbye, but I will still be catching the Chuggington cartoon on the Disney channel from time to time in the mornings when my boys let me watch it that is!

Hallmark Keepsake Ornament

As a farewell to the program I am sharing with you all a last minute holiday gift idea for your loved one, a Hallmark Keepsake Chuggington ornament for the trainee in your life.  You can not really see the image above, as it’s difficult for me to share the true beauty behind this keepsake ornament in a webcam photo, for that reason, below is the stock image from Hallmark.com to give you a better idea of what a beautiful treasure this will be for your trainee’s stocking this holiday season.

Family Time Means So Much To Me

One day the family wasn’t quite sure what to do so we went downstairs to see what we could come up with to do. The first thing that came to mind was to create train tracks and play with our Chuggington Train Sets, this is something all of the kids enjoy playing together.

I keep forgetting just how many trains and tracks this kid has from Chuggington so I thought I would share a few pictures from the family time we had a couple of weeks ago with these sets.

Chuggington was a pleasure to work with last year and I am looking forward to seeing all of the new train toys the boys get this year for we are still most certainly enjoying some happy family moments with the Chuggington Crew!

So I have to ask you all this;

What toys do you have that all of the kids enjoy & can be played for a long period of time without sibling rivalry occurring?

Day 6: A Matter of Thinking

Now that my head was clear I was able to have a free mind and train my brain to take information into it and spit it out as positive or proactive thoughts/actions. For example if I were to receive a disconnect notice for a very important bill I would not sit here in tears wondering how the heck I was going to pay for it, I would actually sit here and focus on ways I could come up with the money, payment plan options the company offers, etc etc! My brain no longer allows stressful or what seem to be impossible situations seem like there’s no way out. I can honestly tell you that I do fear at times, it’s natural to get a negative response at first, the key is simply to train your mind to a point that that first instinct to fear or think negative is quickly turned around to a solution or a positive thought.

Brain Power Is All you Need

Brain Power Is All you Need

If you think about it, your thoughts can affect everything in your life from relationships to friendships to the work place. When a person starts thinking that their life sucks or that they are depressed, then they will start to feel that way.  Oh believe me, this sounds silly even to some of my family, all except my father who firmly believes your thoughts have powers. It’s all about training your mind to take over your body. If one is sick yet happy in life or in love do you notice how much longer they live? A person who has the ability to focus on what it is that’s important to them, what it is that matters may out live any disease a normally pessimistic person would wilt away from or get more sick from. It’s true, really, I am not just rambling!

It’s funny growing up I always always picked on by females, granted I was a very beautiful little girl and so my family always just said they were jealous. Now as a grown adult I can barely make any female friends and I don’t think that I am this drop dead gorgeous woman but I do feel I am beautiful both inside and out. I am beautiful because I think I am beautiful and those who pick on me are only unhappy with themselves therefore must lash out onto others. I used to feel awful when females glared at me or called me names or didn’t want to hang out with me. Due to me allowing myself to feel self pity I started to get depressed, drank alocohol at a young age, started hanging with the wrong crowds and eventually all of that stopped at age 18 when I got my underage DWI {blowing a BAC level of .05}.

My First Born

As I grew and became a mother for the first time I think that is truly when I realized that my mind process had to be changed. I had to start thinking positive for my daughter, because what if she goes through the same crap I did in school? What if she is the beautiful girl in school that all the girls envy? If she is all of those things, then I knew I wanted to be sure my mind set was that of a positive, outgoing, social person that is confident and knows I am loved and I am awesome no matter what anyone else thinks or says.

I can tell you that although my daughter has problems here and there I am amazed to see her little self think of a positive stemming from any struggle she has as a young girl. I am seeing that my new mind set, changed only about 8 years ago, has truly affect my child in a positive way. Can you imagine how your life and your children’s lives would change if you were to start training your mind to focus on the positive and become more proactive when thinking about a challenge you face? Oh the possibilities are endless and it’s all a matter of thinking!

We’ve Been Attempting Potty Training

ptlogoYes with the help of Potty Tots I have been attempting to encourage potty training with AJ who is now 3 and a half years old. I will be honest Baby K shows more interest in the potty than AJ so I am hoping by attempting to encourage them together we will get at least one of them out of diapers soon. I want AJ to go to preschool next year since he didn’t potty train this year I never sent him to 3 year old preschool, I refuse to put him right into all day Kindergarten before at least having some experience in a school setting and so it began, last week I started working at an increased awareness of the bathroom and the fact that myself, sissy and yes even Daddy go pee and poop in the potty.

getting ready to potty train

So as you can see we have the undies and we have our kit, well part of the kit. Potty Tots comes with a story book, a DVD, a game and a cute poster that shows in pictures and words what you are to do before and after you go potty! I went over the poster with AJ who knew what all the pictures were and had fun telling me step by step what he needs to do in order to start using the potty and then afterwards flushing and washing his hands. He loves flushing and washing his hands … still working on the loving the potty thing!

boys kit front

The Potty Tots DVD is awesome, both Baby K and AJ enjoyed dancing around to the cartoon rock video on it and they loved the cartoon! I plan to start reading the story book before bed soon as another way to help encourage this potty training idea! AJ is a very competitive child as well so even though I am not sure Baby K is quite ready for potty training, we have the game that comes with the Potty Tots kit set up so that Baby K and AJ both have a football character on each end so that they can see who will win. I have explained to AJ that every time he goes pee on the potty he will move his football man forward and so will Baby K. Whichever of them gets to the other end zone first wins a trophy, for a child who loves competition he was all over this idea.

Our days have started with AJ wanting to wear his big boy undies that my step mother and Dad got him, and so he wears them with a t-shirt nothing else running around during the morning hours. AJ is a backwards child, I swear, seriously he tells me he has pooped in his diaper when he peed and tells me he pees when he has pooped. Another thing I found out is that although AJ understands the whole peeing and pooping on the potty thing and has shown interest and has other signs that he is ready, he apparently thinks he is suppose to sit on the potty and tell me he has to pee after he has already peed in his undies.

So that is where this family is at with the whole potty training idea, he loves his Potty Tots kit for boys and he is excited about his undies but for now he thinks he pees in his undies and then sits on the potty! Hey it’s a start and the fact that the Potty Tots kit comes with a competitive type game, it’s working to increase interest in the whole potty training idea and that is something any parent should be thankful for!

Disclosure: I received the Potty Tots Training Kit for Boys for free as a way to review and express my opinion on the product. This personal review is based on my personal experience with the product and includes only 100% opinions from myself.
