Lose Weight Using Muay Thai

How can you lose weight and get fit? Well many will tell you that it is all about balancing the right proportions of food and working out. Partaking in any fitness type activity will assist you in losing weight quicker than simply choosing a new diet change. With so many dieting fads out there, I am Queen of pushing a fitness routine. I recently heard about Suwit muay thai, which is a training gym in Thailand. This training camp welcomes other martial arts fitness type camps around the world to check them out.

Muay thai boxing is a thai kick boxing contact sport and muay thai boxing combines skill and power. From what I have seen and heard, this muay thai is the best style of unarmed combat. I personally feel that you can use muay thai as a form of self defense, people could even use muay thai as a training to lose weight all the while learning the skills necessary to defend against and predators they may run into.

Who wouldn’t want to get fit while learning the best style of unarmed combat around? Sign me up! I have been talking for awhile now about how I would love to get into a program with my oldest that teaches some form of self defense. Muay thai seems to be the best choice out there, learning this form of boxing really steps up your world a bit. Building confidence is also something I really thrive to push as part of my mission in life, muay thai training will certainly be a confidence booster for two reasons; you will start losing weight and you will feel as if you have your own form of defense without weapon use.

I ask you all this, have any of you tried muay thai or something similar as a way to lose weight? Please share your stories in the comments below.

Take a Look At What I Do not Get Done

This week I am meeting with a case management person, they help with a lot of areas in your life and for me, I have requested that this woman come into my home, sit down with me and talk about my day. I have always joked about wanting to be on SuperNanny but when the cast calling came to my local area and I received an email to get on the show, I got choked up. You see, I need SuperNanny help but I don’t want to be on television, honestly. I love sharing my life here, being honest, outspoken and upfront but having cameras in my face and the kids faces isn’t something I think would fit for us.

Since so many people tell me I do so much or that I do it all, I thought I would give you a peek into my world, you see, my dishes are not always done. My house is a mess half of the time and I am simply not keeping up with organizing my house in the way I want to. I will tell you straight up that I will never be a clean freak type of parent, I would much rather have a safe and healthy living environment that looks more lived in, but I do wish to find a way to fit household chores into my schedule on a regular basis to ensure the house looks a bit more tidy than you see in these pictures.

May I tell you all that the above picture is my dining room area? Yes, it is. Now this room or area also starts off “clean” totally spotless most days, however, I have been so overwhelmed with everything I have on my plate right now that picking up the crayons, random board game parts and what have you that are laying all over this area has not been something I 1) had the ability to tend to while running around with my 3 year old son and 2) had the energy to deal with.

Now I am not making excuses for myself, I am aware of what I want to get done in a days time. This includes having plenty of play time with the kids. I honestly can do it all if I have to, but where do I start? This is why I really hope meeting with this woman helps me to get moving forward in having a schedule set in place that allows for family clean up time on a daily basis as part of our wind down time before dinner or before bed in addition to setting forth a more structured environment for the children to thrive from.

How do you keep on schedule or set forth a routine when you are home 24/7?
