Ski Wear Through the Ages

Fashion and Snow. Not the most conventional of partnerships to say the least. In fact if you tried trekking through the alpine tundra in any of the catwalk outfits nowadays you would be in for a rough time. But I’m being silly. The fact is that modern ski apparel is actually quite fashionable! From what started as an essential piece of uniform to simply keep you warm and dry, skiers and snowboarders heading up the peak this year will have a seemingly unending choice of jackets, boots, coats, hats etc. In fact it’s a lucrative business! The Ski Industry rose […]

New Mattel WWE Brawlin’ Buddies and Rumblers Rampage Transforming Tour Bus #holidaygift

Do you have a WWE fan in your house? I do. The biggest fan here is actually my daughter, at age 11 she is in love with WWE and it’s great that the Brawlin’ Buddies are something she enjoys smashing around with her brothers. It’s something that allows my boys to use their rough and tumble side with while sharing a common interest with sissy. Now not only can my kids play around with their Brawlin’ Buddies but Mattel has released the WWE Rumblers Rampage Transforming Tour Bus which allows more pretend play for the children. My sons like the […]

Picture a Day – Wearing Earrings

The first hole I had pierced in my ears was around age six. That hole become two more added later in life, one got ripped out and hurt badly so that one is no longer “active” and there is a third hole on one ear that was done wrong so I don’t use that one either. I basically have two spots on both ears I can wear earrings — as shown below. The issue is that no matter the type of earring I try to wear, my ears turn bright red and get all infected in the earring piercing hole…. […]

The Weather is not so Frightful

I was thinking about the weather when the Winter time song came into mind, “the weather is oh so frightful but the fire inside is delightful. Since we no place to go … let it snow, let it snow, let it snow” then I realized ummm it’s like close to Summer weather outside. The weather has been so amazing and awesome, it’s like 80 degrees and I have had the sprinkler on for the kids multiple times now. It’s a beautiful day today as well, slight breeze with warm sunshine shining down upon us. I think I will enjoy the […]

It’s Nice, Go Outside, Seriously!

Ever hear those words from your parents growing up? If it was a nice day then you got your butt outside and played. Didn’t matter what you did outside, just that you got out there because there was no need for any indoor play if the weather called for a beautiful outdoor fun time.  Spring has sprung around here so if it isn’t raining too bad then I tell the kids that we are going outside to enjoy the nice weather. If I don’t sound like my parents when I tell them, especially Aj, that there is no indoor board […]

Get Out and Enjoy The Fresh Air #fitness #health @harvardpilgrim

What do you do on a day where there isn’t really anything you can think to do. Maybe taking a walk in the woods or driving downtown to play on the basketball courts isn’t an option. So what is it that you do with the kids to keep active? Well I know what my kids and I prefer to do, we head outside in our own backyard to enjoy some random fun. Whether they take out the bikes, scooter or just do races up and down the driveway on feet, we get active. At first my oldest, and only daughter, […]

Boys and Baseball, How They Can Improve

If you are looking to improve your baseball swing, there are several things that you must be aware of. First and foremost, while there are some general suggestions that work for just about everybody, there are also some minor adjustments that are individual. You must find the perfect type of stance, grip and rhythm for your swing and all of those factors must take your body frame and height into account. If your son is playing baseball, like much of America’s youth, odds are he might need a few pointers on his swing. Kids always want to be the best […]
