Happy Money Saving Community

If the word happy or friendly is in the title, I am on it. If that also includes a community of savings, I am on that too. Happier.co.uk is the place to go for a super friendly money saving community and I just recently heard about it.  Saving money or even making money is something that makes me extra happy, all those who are close in my life can tell when business is at a slow point because my personality and mood is slightly off. Even though money is not the route of happiness, saving money could very well be a strong part of the happy trail in life.

Whether you are looking to be savvier or looking for that special deal, there is a friendly community out there waiting for you to check them out. Saving money is a skill not everyone is born with nor is everyone taught the best way to save money. I personally have never been taught well in the financial area of life, I simply wing it and do my best to live in a way that we all have the things we need because the things we want can come later in life or never at all. Having the things you need and saving money on the things you need is vitally important to me.

Money saving guides are a great way to help assist in guiding you to financial success. This means that you will be better at saving money versus spending money. This means that you would have a chance to have that extra fund set aside for emergencies and/or the things you want in life. Saving money is important in this day and age. It seems CEO’s have huge funds saved up from all of those years prior to the economy crashing supposedly and the lay offs beginning for the middle class. They say there is no middle class anymore, you are either poor or rich; who cares what they say. I prefer to focus on what I can do with my own money I earn for my household. I prefer to research money saving guides online and being a part of a friendly money saving community so that I can learn to save money and find the best deals possible.

Saving money is important, are you good at saving money or not so good at it? What are some of your tips you have for others seeking to find a way to be better about saving funds?

Stocking Stuffer Idea from GradSave @gradsave

Are you ready for a cute stocking stuffer idea?

Stuff a stocking and ensure a future? Sort of catchy, right? Well as a Mom of three it is. With three kids to think “college” for, I know I have to start getting smart about saving for college tuition because at least one of the three will end up in a college of some sort.  At least I hope.

My little ones will be big ones some day heading off asking me to pay that lovely bill so they can further their education and become whatever it is their heart desires. That is why I absolutely love and stand behind GradSave 100%. The cool thing is that you can now choose to get your GradSave College Savings Gift Card via digital gift code or gift card by mail. What a cute stocking stuffer idea, now maybe your little one won’t know what the card is for, but I know my little ones think having a “credit card” aka gift card, is just the same as what Mama uses in the stores.

To think of your kids opening up their stocking and having a “credit card” found within it, of course they will think they can go spend it, but you will have to explain to them that it’s savings for when they are older. Place it in a secret treasure place, such as a lock box within your home with your child. Make a cute game out of it, and know that you are doing a great thing by starting to invest in your child’s future. Heck, this could even be a yearly tradition or a tradition for each birthday as well as Christmas.

I also want to share with you another awesome thing that GradSave has going on, their $10,000 Scholarship Sweepstakes, simply fill out a form on the GradSave Scholarship Sweepstakes page and be entered for a chance to win $10,000 towards your child’s future! That sweepstakes ends on December 31, 2012. It is open to US minus Rhode Island.
