What Does the Mama Say

My five year old son enjoys being goofy, like all of the time. I always say he is my little comedian. It’s hard work to capture K-man’s comedian side with a sense of getting an education and actually staying focused. While K-man is doing well in school this year, his first year in school all day, he does tend to exhibit the side of a “class comedian”. Thankfully we all are working together to get his attention focused on school work and being silly at recess or at home instead. As of late, the What did the Fox Say song […]

Sweet Summertime

Due to the fact that this is Summer and I firmly believe Summer is the best time to focus on family fun, my blog does not have as many updates. You see, I started to feel bad because after all this is my income, but on the other hand, I remembered that this is the last Summer I have before all three of my kids are in school full time. Yes, my “baby” is headed off to full day Kindergarten this year and how that makes me sad in some ways. On another hand, I am happy to have the […]

A Wonderful Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday is normally  just another day for me, if the kids are here they wake up and find their Easter baskets that the Easter Bunny hid all over the house for them. When the kids are gone, like this past Easter, then it’s simply just another day. The Easter Bunny visits and hides the baskets but the kids do not get to find them until they return home on Monday. As most of you know that talk to me often or read my blog, I became an aunt for the first time in January and so this year a […]

When Your Theory on Life and Happiness Hits Your Heart

I am a positive thinker, I wouldn’t go on to say I am a 100% optimistic person, however, I do tend to lean more towards an optimistic person than a pessimistic one. You see, life is way too short to dwell on what negative may happen or has happened – I say focus on today and live each moment to the fullest for you never know when life will stop. The thing about being a positive thinker, is that my positive attitude comes out in my parenting style and I did not realize just how much my positive thinking was […]

Quotes about Happiness, It’s all About your State of Mind

I have gone through more negative than positive some days. I have broken down in tears knowing that all I could provide for my child was cheap pasta for dinner. I have been down to the lowest rock bottom level I considered for myself. Yet, with all that I have had impact my life in a negative way, still I have found happiness in myself that I make a conscious effort to focus on. It is within yourself that you can find your true happiness and I can only hope these quotes shared today will assist in helping you see […]

Handmade Items from the Himalayas: Singing Bowls

I am always on the lookout for relaxing items, such as sweet sounds that can allow my mind to wind down from a long day in the office or long day chasing my three year old around. Apparently turning 30 has really made my body take a toll in the ability to run around as much as I used to, I am still young, but the body and mind are certainly showing signs of aging. Quartz Crystal Singing Bowls are not only a way to create a relaxing sound for your night of getting wound down but they are gorgeous […]

Finding Motivation in the Sky

Sometimes when I feel overwhelmed with life and all of the responsibilities being an adult entails I simply step outside on my big deck and stare up at the sky. It’s funny how just a quiet moment, or what usually ends up being hours on the deck taking in the clouds, sunset or stars can be somewhat motivational to me. Of course this activity is extremely relaxing, because I can still here my sleeping children should the wake but I am taking in the outdoor frog and bird noises that almost sets a calm over my whole body. Lately I […]

HE DID IT!!! Hooray for Kindergarten

It’s official, Aj has completed his first week of Kindergarten and I couldn’t be more proud. Every Friday he will bring home a folder and inside of that folder is school work from his week at school. Me, being a worrier by nature, had wondered what “he is shy but does what is required of him and does his work good” really meant. As that was the response I got from all his teachers when I asked all week last week! Friday I opened up Aj’s school folder and sat down with him to review just what he had accomplished […]

Easter is Coming

SO what do you all do for Easter? Do you have any travel plans? As Easter nears I realize more and more that our family never really has done anything. I want to say that some of my older relatives get together for a nice dinner, usually a ham dinner but really all we do here at our house is search for the Easter baskets that the Easter bunny left behind and hid through out the house. The day is just another day for us, even though I am aware of what Easter truly is, we just haven’t ever done […]

Sickness Took Over

One day Ki was sick over vacation then it moved on from her to Baby K from there the next day it was AJ’s turn and then alas it was my not-so lucky turn! Yesterday I spent most of the day depressed, sitting on the couch, took about three or four hot showers. Froze, sweat, cried, sulked, watched as my two sons destroyed the house but was unable to move an inch for fear I would have to run to the bathroom and be sick again. What a day … no way to start off a week but today is […]
