Top 5 Reasons Why You Should Hire an In-Home Personal Trainer

While some people enjoy exercising and can motivate themselves to follow a fitness program faithfully, others may need someone to guide and motivate them to achieve their fitness goals. It is a good idea to engage the service of an in-home personal trainer if you are new to exercising or have a busy lifestyle. Here is a look at how hiring an in-home personal trainer can be beneficial to you.

Saves Time

In-home personal training eliminates the need to spend time packing a bag, traveling to the gym and finding a parking spot. This is especially important if you have trouble finding time to exercise. An in-home personal trainer will arrive at your home at the scheduled time, and you can focus on exercising during the allotted time. Once the session is over, you can rest or do other things in the comfort of your own home. In-home personal training also gives you the flexibility to plan your own workout schedule. Little or No Equipment Needed

In-home personal training usually involves exercise techniques that can be performed with little or no equipment. If you have your own equipment, your trainer may ask you to use it during your workouts. If you don’t, he or she will most likely bring everything that is needed for an effective workout. Most personal trainers know how to help you achieve the best results without expensive equipment.

Comfort and Privacy

If your body is not as good-looking as you want it to be, you may feel self-conscious when you are exercising in a public gym. This can make you feel uncomfortable and affect your exercise performance. If you hire an in-home personal trainer, you will have the privacy and peace of mind you need to concentrate on working out. Not only can you work out without an audience; you can also control the temperature and music to suit your personal preferences.

Personal Attention

Personal training in a gym or recreational center is usually standardized, and it is not catered to individual needs and goals. By hiring an in-home personal trainer, you will get one-on-one attention and a fitness program that is specially tailored for you. It will help you overcome your limitations and achieve your fitness goals more quickly.

If you enroll in a fitness program at a gym, there is a greater likelihood that you will skip your workout when you are not in the mood to exercise. A personal trainer who shows up at your door can help you stick to your exercise program more faithfully. Scheduled appointments will help you stay on track toward your goals and your trainer will keep you motivated throughout your fitness journey.

While in-home personal training offers a lot of benefits, it may not be the best fitness solution for everyone. It is advisable that you consult a fitness expert to find out whether or not it is the right option for you. Click here to learn more about the benefits of in-home personal training.

Lose Weight Using Muay Thai

How can you lose weight and get fit? Well many will tell you that it is all about balancing the right proportions of food and working out. Partaking in any fitness type activity will assist you in losing weight quicker than simply choosing a new diet change. With so many dieting fads out there, I am Queen of pushing a fitness routine. I recently heard about Suwit muay thai, which is a training gym in Thailand. This training camp welcomes other martial arts fitness type camps around the world to check them out.

Muay thai boxing is a thai kick boxing contact sport and muay thai boxing combines skill and power. From what I have seen and heard, this muay thai is the best style of unarmed combat. I personally feel that you can use muay thai as a form of self defense, people could even use muay thai as a training to lose weight all the while learning the skills necessary to defend against and predators they may run into.

Who wouldn’t want to get fit while learning the best style of unarmed combat around? Sign me up! I have been talking for awhile now about how I would love to get into a program with my oldest that teaches some form of self defense. Getting in Great Shape and Burn Fat At The Same Time

If you want to feel comfortable wearing summer clothes or a bathing suit to the beach, then take a look at the fitness points outlined below. Eating the right foods, doing the right forms of exercise on a regular basis and using all natural weight loss and appetite suppressant supplements will enable you to get toned and in good physical shape.

Weight Loss Supplements

Researchers note that the body needs plenty of vitamin D, vitamin C and calcium in order to not only lose weight but also keep it from coming back. Vitamin D is obtained primarily from exposure to the sun; vitamin C can be found in various fruits and vegetables while calcium is obtained mostly from milk and milk products. However, if you are unable to get the vitamins you need from your diet, you should take supplements.

There are also some natural weight loss supplements on the market that can help you get slim faster than would have otherwise been possible. These supplements should never take the place of a healthy diet and good exercise plan; however, when used in conjunctions with eating and exercising right, they can enable you to reach your fitness goals in time to enjoy wearing skimpy summer clothes.

Exercising Right

While there are many good forms of exercise, some can be more effective than others. Women’s Health Magazine notes that your body shape will determine which exercises will help you get in shape fastest. At the same time, it should be noted that your body determines where it stores fat and where it dumps it from. Besides doing toning exercises, you should also do some general cardiovascular exercises regularly, such as riding a bike, jogging, skating, swimming or running.

Ideally, you should exercise for an hour a day, every single day. However, if you are not able to maintain such a schedule, then start by working out three times a week. If you are not in the habit of exercising regularly, then start off slow. If you try to do too much, too fast, you could injure one or more muscles, which would inhibit you from being able to exercise freely.

Eating and Drinking Right

Protein drinks are ideal for those who want to get toned, as they help to build muscle and curb hunger. There are a number of such drinks on the market, but some contain unnatural ingredients that are not good for you, so be sure to choose the most natural ones you can find.

It is also important to eat right. Do not cut carbohydrates from your diet, but stick to eating healthy ones such as potatoes, whole wheat bread and brown rice. Cut out fatty proteins such as red meat and eat more fish, poultry and beans. Replace junk food snacks with healthy ones such as nuts, unsweetened, low fat yogurt and fruit.

Hard Work Is Necessary But Rewarding

Getting in shape for the summer will take hard work and you will need to make some sacrifices; however, the results are more than worth it. Being toned and in good physical shape is not just about looks; it also helps you stay healthy, have plenty of energy and be able to sleep well at night. It may take some time for you to reach your fitness goals but you can reach them if you persevere and continue to follow the tips outlined above.

Work on Increasing Your Cognitive Skills, Including Memory

I have written many times about my lack of memory, I can’t remember much of anything. My memory is so bad that my daughter actually informs people that she is my memory. Everyone laughs but in all reality it is kind of concerning that my memory is failing me so soon, I am only 29 years old.

As the economy keeps sinking and people start having to work later in life it seems memory is something that people are going to have to start focusing on increasing. I think the older we get our brain just can’t handle all of the information we have placed within it and so in order to keep our cognitive skills, including memory, sharp is to focus on fitness for the brain.

Yes, you heard me right, I want you to start focusing on fitness for your brain in addition to fitness for your body! I know, like you needed one more thing to work on. I certainly don’t need another fitness task added to my day but I think keeping your cognitive skills is extremely important in this day and age.

I look at my grandmother who actually retired at her retirement age and think “will this be me”, but in all reality it won’t be. My retirement age isn’t going to be as young as it was for her and if I do get to retire it’s only going to be from my hard work and savings account by the sounds of the sloping economy. If I have to base retirement on my own savings account I will be working until I hit the grave because I am self employed, anyone who is self employed knows when it’s good it’s good and when it’s bad it’s bad.

Whether you are self employed or an employee at a company, please be aware that the more years that go by, the more financially status changes and the later in life we will be forced to work before being able to retire so please work on exercises to increase your cognitive skills before it’s too late!

Mommy Workout Tips

Being a mother is one of the most rewarding experiences I’ve ever been fortunate enough to have. Watching my son grow and blossom every day, teaching him how to be a man, and seeing pieces of myself emerge in his personality fills me with an indescribable joy, and satisfaction unlike anything I ever could have imagined prior to his birth.

However, there are days when I yearn for the more carefree days of my youth, when I had unfettered freedom to do what I wanted, when I wanted. As a personal trainer, I have always valued the importance of a healthy, active lifestyle, but some days, I’m lucky to get a few stretches in before my day begins. From the time I wake up to the time I crawl into bed, my day is full of work- and family-related responsibilities, leaving little – if any – time for myself.

However, I am starting to figure out tricks to making time for myself. As a single parent, this is especially important, as I need to maintain my health and wellbeing in order to be a better parent to my son. Here are some tricks I have learned for sneaking in fitness:

  • Keep a pair of hand weights easily accessible, and do reps when sitting at your computer, watching television, etc. There are also many simple exercises you can do anytime, anywhere.
  • Buy home gym equipment or exercise videos. You can often find coupons that will make this an affordable option.
  • Find a Mommy and Me exercise class or workout video. This will keep you in shape and teach your child the importance of fitness.
  • Go for walks with your child. This will benefit you both immensely, and create lasting memories.
  • Roughhouse with your child. Studies have shown that roughhousing with your children is beneficial to them, and anything that gets your heart pumping and your muscles moving is beneficial to you, as well.
  • When running errands, park at the back of the lot and walk, and take the stairs whenever possible. If your child’s legs become tired, offer to carry them for a boost to your workout.
  • Crank the music and dance! This will provide a good cardiovascular workout and improve your child’s coordination at the same time.

Being a parent doesn’t have to be a serious or difficult affair. Too many people overthink things and worry too much. If you focus on setting a positive example for your child, you will be able to maintain your autonomy while still being an effective parent, and your children will flourish as a result of your efforts. Making fitness a priority will lower your stress levels, and teach your child to care for their own health, as well, which is one of the most important things you can do for them.
