Medical Alert Systems for your Loved Ones

I am sure you all have seen commercials for the medical alert system, what sticks in my mind is those commercials that say “Help I’ve fallen and I can’t get up”, while I am not 100% sure if that commercial is the same product, it is what comes to my mind while writing this. What I love most about the medical alarm devices is that it allows some freedom for our loved ones, as we get older the last thing we probably want to admit is that we are aging and have to have help. I firmly believe that the […]

My Happy Chaos in Pictures

I am addicted to pictures, they seem to tell a story sometimes way better than my words can.  So today I decided it’s going to be more of a picture story Friday. My first born is of course your typical stereotyped first born; the leader, the Mama junior and the caring child.  She can often be found practicing her flute… Or with her head in a book, yes that is Kiara with a book in hand while getting water from the fridge… Then I have my second born who is certainly a mix of both my oldest and youngest, most […]

You see, I was the neat freak and she was the things everywhere but knows where stuff is sort of person.  Half our bedroom was normally extremely organized and the other half (her half) was rather unorganized and messy. Now, as a mom of three children, I have seen that […]

A Relaxing but Fun Family Walk

Last weekend my family and I decided to venture out and take in the scenes of an old railroad track turned four wheeling trail. There is this old train bridge, not sure if it is really a train bridge per say but that’s what my three year old son calls it, and he’s been begging to check it out. The view was gorgeous, and although I am extremely afraid of heights we did capture some great family photos.  One thing that our family enjoys doing together is taking walks, but we don’t like taking walks down the main road, rather […]

Making Smores by Campfire

If you are a fan of graham crackers, marshmallows and chocolate then you must make a habit of making your very own smores by campfire. First you need to collect one roasting marshmallow stick per person. Next you have to have a person equipped to handle fire, start a campfire.  Laying the wood in such a way as shown in image, make sure to roll up balls of newspaper in the center to assist in making the fire start easily. Since the sticks have been collected and the marshmallows are ready to be melted, all you can do now is […]
