Christmas Tree Cut Down

I love that when I look back at so many pictures I have taken that each time we all seem so happy. The kids sort of went through a funk for a bit, due to situations that arose, but now they seem to be super happy again and I just had to look back to cherish some of those happy moments today as I prepare to have them gone with their Dads for the weekend.

I love my family so much!

Let’s Talk about Christmas Trees – Real or Fake?

My family started a tradition years ago when the boys were way young of cutting down our own Christmas tree. It happened by accident, you see we were broke and not wanting to have to use my old school $14.99 retail Christmas tree I had from the first years of my daughter’s life, we drove past a sign “cut your own tree $10″ and we were hooked.

Each year we head to a small town in NH where you cut down your own tree and pay $10 on a ‘trust’ system, meaning they don’t hover over you at all when you are out enjoying family time picking a tree. Money is simply left in a box and it’s a trust thing. I remember that last year  we drove off and moments down the road realized that we were so busy dealing with hyper kids that we hadn’t paid. Yes we turned around and put $10 in the box, it’s what this world needs more of – Trust Systems, and real beautiful Christmas trees ;-)

So I ask, are you the fam that has a fake tree or are you the real tree kinda family?

Scotts Turf Builder

So you all want a nice green lawn right? Well recently I shared information about Scotts Turf Builder and for me, a Mom, I wanted to share some reasons why I think this is a great product.

For starters, it will help me have an awesome lawn and for second it will be safe for my barefoot, grass rolling children. You see in the video below my children are lawn children, they LOVE to roll around. I don’t want a green lawn at the downfall of the safety for my children.

Since I am also a work at home Mom, I want more for my money, and with Scotts Turf Builder it tiny which means it covers more area per square inch! A green lawn, safe for my kids and more coverage? They had me at hello. This year I am using this product and can’t wait to share more information about how well it works.

I am happy so far with Scotts Turf Builder and hope that I can share more information about how well this works in the future with you all!

I was speaking with my Dad yesterday about Scotts Turf Builder and he had it all in his head, he is ready to do a spot with this product and a post without product on his lawn just to document the progress. I hope we can do this experiment because my Dad loves things like that!

Christmas Tree Hunting

Every year we go and cut down our Christmas tree, it’s only $10 which is way cheaper than going to a place that already has one cut down. Plus this has started to be our family tradition for the past couple of years and it’s fun .. okay well my butt doesn’t like being out in the cold but I try to force a smile and have fun … really I walk up and say “there’s the tree, I like that one” and hope that Miss Ki will agree because she is super picky about her Christmas tree {she gets that from her father I swear} … anyways .. it was a fun time and only took five minutes this year instead of a freaking half hour or longer out in the freezing cold snow in my Adidas sneakers!

Munchkins ... Ki holding K's hand how cute!

Come on K I will show u the way into the snow with shoes on!

Ki took off on her own "venture"

This IS the tree!!!

we have the tree .. munchkins took off to car

Watch out for ice .. don't worry AJ was fine! He's TOUGH!

I do have a picture of our Christmas tree in our house but I am too darn lazy to email it to myself from my Blackberry so watch out for Saturday when I have some cute light pictures up at least! Enjoy the weekend! I plan to!
