Disney Junior to Celebrate Valentine’s Day

Two shows my four year old loves and is frequently found watching on Disney channel are Doc McStuffins and Handy Manny. I was extremely excited when Disney Junior sent me this heads up email for details to share with you all on how these two shows will be scheduled to celebrate Valentine’s Day.

In the new “Doc McStuffins” episode titled “My Huggy Valentine,” Doc receives a stuffed Valentine’s Day heart named Val as a gift and Lambie gets jealous because she thinks Doc likes her new toy better.  After diagnosing Lambie with “splitheartitis,” Doc reassures her that no one could ever take her place.  This episode of “Doc McStuffins” premieres Friday, February 1 at 10:00 a.m., ET/PT on Disney Channel and 4:00 p.m., ET/PT on Disney Junior.

Sounds like a cute episode of an already adorable show of a girl who helps stuffed animals get better. A show full of imagination and love for everyone. I enjoy snuggling up watching Doc McStuffins with K-man as often as I can and you bet we will try our best to tune into this special episode.

In the “Handy Manny” episode, Manny wants to ask longtime friend Kelly to a Valentine’s Day party.  With a little help from the tools, he finally works up the courage and asks her to attend Mrs. Portillo’s party with him.  The episode titled “Valentine’s Day Party” premieres Thursday, February 14 at 10:30 a.m., ET/PT on Disney Channel and 6:00 p.m., ET/PT on Disney Junior.

Handy Manny is adorable to begin with but in a different way than Doc McStuffins, this cute man helps others by fixing things and building new things. My son loves watching what Handy Manny will fix next!

Will you all tune into these two special Valentine’s Day celebration episodes?

Mickey Mote Now Available For Christmas 2010

The all new Mickey Mote is a child sized remote control that provides hour of fun for your preschooler. Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment released the Mickey Mote on November 16, 2010 with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse: Mickey’s Number Roundup and Handy Manny: Big Construction Job. Mickey Mote more than likely gets its name from the unique shape of Mickey Mouse’s face, ears and all. As seen in the video below my children enjoy this all new Mickey Mote…

How To Use The Mickey Mote

First you will need any Disney Preschool DVD that includes Discovery Mode™ because the interactive “Watch & Play” feature found in bonus features on the DVD is what you will need when your preschooler wants to use the Mickey Mote. The remote control will need to be programed using your DVD player and the DVD player remote, if you don’t have a DVD player remote any universal DVD remote that is programmed to your DVD player will work to program the Mickey Mote. The Mickey Mote has four options in four different colors and shapes that allow your preschooler to press after the DVD asks a question such as “How many feet does Mickey have on the ground?”. Your preschooler will be asked to press yellow for one number, blue for another and green for another until all four colors on the Mickey Mote have been assigned a number. Your preschooler will determine how many feet Mickey has on the ground and press the corresponding button on the Mickey Mote for the right answer.

Happily Blended Opinion and Experience with Mickey Mote

The Mickey Mote was tested with both my 2 and 4 year old sons, my 2 year old isn’t quite old enough for utilizing the Mickey Mote to it’s full potential, however, my son AJ at four years of age has enjoyed testing out the easier Stage 1 and harder Stage 2. My eight year old daughter quite obviously is a little too old for this but she did have fun sitting and helping her brother AJ determine the correct answers. Our family had a blast with this Mickey Mote and I think it is a great way for my sons to enjoy Walt Disney’s preschool DVD’s while learning at the same time. A win-win for any family this holiday season!
