I hope you consider creating this as a fun family game to entertain the children during the holiday gatherings this season. One day my family ventured down to my daughter’s friends house where we all had a fun little barbecue one Friday evening. While […]

School Vacation Week Is Nearing an End

This week has been my kids school vacation week, starting last Friday with a cancellation of school due to weather, they get a whole 10 days of break from school. Right now my biggest challenge is going to be on Monday, when my seven year old son Aj is returned to school. Aj is convinced this is the break that happens in the Summer before he goes back to school for the next grade. I’m not really sure how to get through to him, as he is certainly not easily convinced of anything he feels otherwise of when he isn’t […]

{Mama and Son Time} Making Pizza with my Boys

I used to have a tradition that every Friday we would make pizza or at least have pizza for dinner. I really miss this tradition, but while money is tight for now with the new home purchase, we will attempt to do our best to make it a once a month event or maybe twice a month for now. I purchased pizza crust from Market Basket, pizza sauce, shredded cheese and some pepperoni slices earlier in the day. I set up the crusts on pan as well as sauce and cheese in two bowls so that the boys could have […]

Sure Let’s Start Over – Bipolar isn’t To be Messed With Lady

My middle child is bipolar, he has a mood disorder. This is a chemical imbalance in the brain, it’s not something that can be “beat” out of him or “trained” out of him. It’s not that he is a bad kid, as most from outside view would assume. He is a great kid, in all actuality he is a very intelligent child, but he has a mental health condition. This condition makes his brain not work like most human beings, he has issues with taking social ques, he has issues with high and low moods, he has issues with OCD […]

An Evening at Park Turns into Gentle Reminder

Each Friday through October our town has a farmer’s market and the children love when I take them to wander around looking at all of the vendors, as well as to take a ride on the train that is there. After we had our visit at the Farmer’s Market, my youngest asked if I would take him to the park later. My middle child was all set on that idea and grumbled that he didn’t want to go. We headed home and let my middle child settle in at home with my boyfriend while I took the oldest and youngest […]

One Day Wasted

Woke up with no internet. It was fun. That was yesterday. Went all day without internet because when they finally turned it back on  .. they did what they always do FORGOT TO REFRESH THE MODEM. I sat with nothing to do but twiddle my thumbs, lay with Jenny the Pug and attempt to work best I could from my iPhone. Sure I could have written some content in Word but when my brain is so annoyed at no internet, it doesn’t write very well. So I laid in bed. All day. Why? Because that was the best option to […]

More Hours To Work, But Still Feel Rushed #wahm

In 2006 I started working from home. I am a determined person and once my mind is set on something, I always succeed. It does not matter what it is, I am stubborn, willful and always end up succeeding in whatever my mind knows I will succeed in. Maybe that has a little bit to do with how my brain works, which is very similar to the Law of Attraction with a side of new found faith. From 2006 up until just last week, I always had to work around my children’s school schedules. I started off with one boy […]

The Long Journey to Correct Medicine Induced Weight Gain

When Aj was put on risperdone in May of 2012 he weight about 62lbs. Last week, Monday June 3, 2013, Aj weighed in at about 96lbs during his psychiatrist appointment.  Each time Aj went into the office for a follow up on medication, I nearly cried. Each day I wake up and see my six year old son gaining more and more weight. Each day I fought as he basically climbed the walls dying of hunger, yet he is very well fed. Each day my heart broke. My son Aj had been born chunky for sure, same as his little […]

Always Focus on What you Have and What you Deserve

Happy Friday everyone! We are heading into a holiday weekend, it’s Memorial Day weekend. A three day weekend here but my children will be off having a blast with their Dad’s. I get to enjoy a nice BBQ with my Dad, the boyfriend, my sister and her baby girl this weekend at some point.   In the meantime I will be packing boxes, labeling them and tossing out stuff into a free pile, but all the while having a blast! Enjoy the weekend and always be thankful for what you DO have in life! <3
