Playing with Google Picasa 3 for New Blog Header

I really want to make a new blog header, one that goes with the season and has cute updated photos of the munchkins and me. I love playing with Google Picasa 3, it’s so easy to make a blog header. Usually.

Today I spent some time trying to get the correct size, you see my blog header is 900 x 225, but when I use Google Picasa 3 I find myself forgetting how to properly size the collage I made for my header within that program so that when I upload it to site via FTP it doesn’t lose the quality.

This morning my brain is fried and not working so I decided to walk away, but wanted to talk about it because, well it’s frustrating me and I thought maybe someone somewhere can remind me how to resize a collage within Google Picasa 3 to ensure I do not lose the picture and font quality when placing it on my blog to be the required dimensions for this blog header.

Do you use Google Picasa 3? Help remind me how to get the correct dimensions set in the program, if you even know how please! Leave me a comment and I will be bowing down to you forever and ever.

Not So Wordless Wednesday: The Joys of Summer Collages using Picasa 3

I love playing around with Picasa 3, that is the program I use to create my blog headers, which by the way look above, it’s been changed! Do you likes?

Below are some collages I had fun making over the weekend in celebration for the spectacular Summer so far …

What pictures would you use to sum up some of your Joys of Summer thus far in a picture collage format?

Letting Kids Do Hair and Makeup

This is a really old YouTube video of mine being featured today, but it brings up a question I have. Do you let your kids play with hair and makeup on you for fun?

Back in my dating days as a single mom of one that is how I won over children of a man I had dated once. He was more of a friend in the long haul but we attempted dating and his two girls were so cute. Every time I went over for a visit when they were there I had to bring my make up case because they knew Brandy was going to let them do hair and makeup.

This is a simple way to have fun and get the kids involved in laughing. I love laughter, it seriously makes the heart healthier, I swear it. Okay I think farming makes the heart healthier too, considering my Grampa is like 90 or close to it still farming and going strong.

So the question comes, do you or would you ever to this for fun with your kids?
