Having a Sensitive Child and Being a Sensitive Adult

Dinner was done Pajamas were on. Books were read. Boys were tucked in and Jenny the pug was placed on Aj’s bed. All was completed as normal. K-man was fast asleep. Then it happened… Aj started having his issues that he has every so often, since he has been off of medication these occurrences are few and far between, but they still happen. Aj is a unique child with a bit of bipolar, anxiety, autistic spectrum symptoms and more all mixed into this compassionate, loving 7 year old boy. I am not sure what is the cause of my son […]

Am I The only Parent Who Sort of Enjoys School Vacation?

When school vacation time is nearing I see it all over the internet .. oh my gawd it’s school vacation, whatever am I going to do with all of these kids for a full week? I get that feeling, I do, but the problem with the mindset – as I read it – is that you are acting as if having more family time is too much to bear. I cannot imagine having that mentality of rather wanting my kids away from me. With my oldest she is part of so many groups, activities and such during the school week […]

There’s One Thing I Know For Sure

Whenever I am doubting various areas in my life or questioning what to do next, there is one part of me that always stays constant, a part that is vitally important to me as an individual and a mother. You see, I have this life mission within my own self, I don’t know why it is that I have a “mission statement” so to speak within my own self for it’s something I always thought would be more suiting for a business structure. I guess life can sort of be taken as a business entity, right? We are living our […]

Feeding From Other People’s Energy

Positive Lifestyle How Can I Be Positive

I am taking some time to find me again, it seems I was lost somewhere. Don’t ask where because I don’t know. All that I know is I am off balance again, this happens with a particular relationship but not friendships. I do well with some people and not so well with others. I don’t mean to say these people I don’t do well with are bad people, after all most of the people I know and/or have dated are really decent people. It’s simply a matter of fact that I feed off others energy. I have a more positive […]

Learning About Myself & Others; Introvert vs Extrovert

I recently was shared an article on It’s My Life about Introvert and Extrovert. I really never gave these two words much thought before, but reading this blog post in the beginning I thought I am more of an extrovert with a bit of introvert qualities at times. Then I read more about introverts and extroverts. Direct quote from It’s My Life {{totally me}}: Did you know that extroverts recharge their energy by being around other people? It’s like we feed off the energy being put out. Most extroverts come home from parties buzzing and high on the collective energy […]

Staying Calm During Stressful Situations

Although I am a happy type of person and usually do not get stressed out there are times when I can feel my blood pressure boiling and my heart racing. These times usually involve a situation with my four year old. My four year old has been the first child I can’t successfully figure out, it’s always another challenge with him. What gets me flustered is the aggression all day long, not every day but when he wakes up in a “mood” chances are that “mood” will be an all day thing. One thing I have noticed is that children […]

This post is brought to you by your friends at takeashower.com As I look around I notice a lot of our water sources around the area are getting lower and lower. Are we in a need for some rain? I think maybe! The Office of Water website helps you to review the latest about our lakes and water sources all over.  You can also learn ways to Save Energy, which I have thought about before by using solar power.  A couple towns over there is a windmill that is used for power and I think they are beautiful windmills! As […]

Never Said I Was Perfect

Image via Wikipedia Today I am going to talk about a person fictionally named Freddy, based loosely on a real life person … not named Freddy of course … Freddy is your typical negative person who has to have others around him to please him, he must always have the best of everything and continuously spends more than he has. Due to him spending more than he has he must pick up a new relationship partner every so often because he continuously drains the one before them. Then when Freddy finally gets a good partner they use and abuse them […]
