Halloween is just around the corner and with that comes the joy of sitting down to read with your children some much loved Halloween children’s books. Today we wanted to showcase a few books, okay well 25 of them to be exact, so that you and your children can enjoy reading together to celebrate the Halloween season.

  1. This year for Halloween I’m taking a trip to Massachusetts to visit my nieces. I was thinking of getting them a cute holiday themed book as a gift but didn’t know of any good ones! They love reading so this is perfect!

  4. I remember reading some spooky Halloween books when I was a kid. I always loved to get myself scared by turning off the lights and reading by a flashlight. Any little thing that went bump would make me jump!

  5. We have Little Blue Truck’a Christmas, so we will have to check out the Halloween one! I’ve mean meaning to get a new book or two for our collection.

  6. Fun books. These would make great gifts for those that like to boo houses. Where you put a pail off goodies on the step for friends and neighbors and run away.

  7. This is such a great list! While we haven’t read many of these Halloween books, we’ve read lots of other books that are in some of the series like Pete the Cat, Corduroy, Pinkalicious, etc.

  8. It’s amazing to have this much to share to your kids to help encourage them read more. I like having a book that they’ll enjoy reading for each season. This list is amazing and I could use this to help my daughter pick out a book that she wants to read for Halloween.

  9. Thanks for putting together this great list. I will be looking for some books for my little niece. Her birthday is coming up soon and she’d be thrilled to have a few books to start her very own Halloween book collection.
