  1. Now that my boys are both in school full time, I have an awesome routine in place. Loving all your tips 🙂

    1. Yes, the school season is so much easier to be productive when the kids are in school. Summer season brings on a whole new balance 😉

  2. Great, great tips. Boundaries is the hardest of these and the most important. What we do is a business. We’re not just “playing” on the computer or in our private space. We’re hustling!

    1. I started singing, “everyday I’m hustling ….” can’t think of the name of that upbeat song … lol

  3. Having a routine is really important for me when I work from home. It makes me feel more professional.

  4. I have been working from home off and on for almost 20 years and solely for the last 8. It can be a tough gig that is for sure because people just dont understand that just because we are at home doesn’t mean we can stop and do things whenever we want.

  5. Finding a routine is something that I have struggled with in the past. I wanted to work a similar schedule to my husband’s, but his kept changing and that made it hard for me. Now we both pretty much have set schedules and it is working much better.

    1. I can imagine how difficult that would be. I am lucky here as my boyfriend and I actually both work from home .. I think when you can do that? IT really helps to make things easier. I remember the old days when I was married of trying to juggle the two different schedules of my work at home and the ex husbands work schedule and stuff. I am glad that things have evened out now and work for both of you!

  6. These are really great tips. Great advice for work at home moms! I definitely need to work on my focus!

  7. Great tips! A routine is definitely key in running a successful work from home job. I like the tip about getting out too. Too much working at home can lead to too much stress!

    1. For sure, routine seems to be an essential part of most areas of life – from work at home to parenting to working outside of the home.

  8. These are great tips! A working routine is I think the best habit you should have as a work from home mom. With all the distractions at home, you need to have a good working habit to get all work done.

    1. It is so important to be stern with family because this is your job and you must make the cash. Being self motivated and dedicated to something you love doing can help ensure you make a good cash flow with work from home.

  9. I am struggling now that it’s summer and baby is due so soon. I cannot wait to get back to a school routine, and work from home routine come September. These are some great tips!

    1. When is the baby arriving? How have you been feeling this Summer? I love reading your weekly checkins. I wish you luck and I am sure once baby arrives you will settle back in. Don’t forget to enjoy that little bundle for a while first 🙂

  10. A babysitter would be a nice touch for sure! I need one for my animals instead of kids though haha

  11. It can be so tough trying to keep all the balls in the air, but the juggling act is worth it. I get to be around for the big moments and small ones too.

  12. I need to get out of the house sometimes. It is really exhausting to work at home especially if you feel distracted.

    1. It is so easy to get distracted working from home. I suffer from distractions often, I call it squirrel brain 😉 Summer break is always hard because the kids are home and I have to balance better with them and work!

  13. Having a routine has been a great help to me. I set an alarm for 7pm so I know it is time to shut down for the day. I will end up working all night if I do not.
