The other morning, beginning my week, I woke up to this lovely note by our coffee maker …

Coffee Machine Broke

I am not sure if the three little hearts at the bottom of this note were meant to make me smile? You see, I woke up with my kids before school, the worse time of day to not have a big ole cup of coffee. I was sad. Bummed. I may have even pouted.

A new coffee machine, even a cheap one, just wasn’t in our budget until his payday either, so all week we went without coffee. Okay my fiance didn’t go without because he is able to drink .. gasp .. instant coffee. Gag me with a spoon! I cannot handle instant coffee, but rather had hot tea all week long.

I survived. Now it’s end of week and I am ready for a coffee machine, just a cheap cheap coffee machine, whatever we can afford that gets that coffee caffeine flowing into my blood stream for a long weekend with my kiddos!

    I’ve gone a week without, treacherous, isn’t it??? :)
Cheers to a new coffee machine!

I am not a coffee drinker but I would have figured out a way to boil and filter my own coffee…. The old fashioned way. I have had to do it before for my Hubs when our electric was off.

That is my personal nightmare. I cannot function with my coffee in the morning!

Luckily, I’m not a coffee drinker, but I know what it’s like to be out of something for a few days. It’s like torture!

I am not a coffee drinker, so I am not personally familiar, but almost everyone I know drinks coffee and loves it and could not live without it…… I am sure it was a nightmare. Hope you got your new coffeemaker and it works great!

I am SO sorry you had to go without coffee! I would have just withered! My kids joke that they know not to talk to Mommy before the first cup.

I would feel the same way if someone told me my toaster was broken! LOL. I use my toaster almost every day.

I actually laughed when I saw this. It would set my husband over the edge and there is no way he would leave smiley faces. Luckily my in-laws live next door so there’s always extra coffee!

I don’t drink coffee but if our coffee maker broke my husband would be DEVASTATED. As a matter of fact, I think if it broke he would actually move Heaven and Earth to get a new one lol

I’m not a coffee drinker, but we’ve had a broken blender in our house and I’ve been known to have one shipped overnight (or we rush out to get a replacement, if we can’t borrow one from my mom.) We make a lot of mixed drinks…and smoothies. Yes. Lots of smoothies.

you need to learn to brew coffee sans a maker!! boiling water poured over coffee in a filter will work. its how we brewed coffee for 25 years out on our home on diamond island on lake winnipesaukee (no electricity). it CAN be done.

I grew up with instant coffee and wouldn’t touch it now, either :) We have a percolator, but also one of those Bodum coffee pot things that goes on the stovetop, so if one doesn’t work, luckily there’s a back-up!

I don’t do coffee, but my husband does. I know when we’re out, it’s a bad day for him!

Coffee is a great pick up, isn’t it? Try the clearance products at Target, if one is close by. They have some marked down all the time!

I can relate. I ran out last night in the snow to get coffee… You’re not alone. Haha!

Haha! I feel your pain– I’m not a coffee drinker but I love my tea and if my tea kettle broke, I wouldn’t know what to do

Oh I feel your pain. If that happened to me I don’t know what I’d do. I need mine especially for the weekend. I use Starbucks during the week but gotta have my coffee pot.
