Ski Wear Through the Ages

Fashion and Snow. Not the most conventional of partnerships to say the least. In fact if you tried trekking through the alpine tundra in any of the catwalk outfits nowadays you would be in for a rough time.

But I’m being silly. The fact is that modern ski apparel is actually quite fashionable! From what started as an essential piece of uniform to simply keep you warm and dry, skiers and snowboarders heading up the peak this year will have a seemingly unending choice of jackets, boots, coats, hats etc.

In fact it’s a lucrative business! The Ski Industry rose by 1% last winter despite the financial climate and is set for another rise this year.

    Is it silly that I want to spend a week at a cozy ski lodge even though I don’t ski? They always look so nice, and the ski wear is fun!
