Last night was a blast! The boys and I decided to drop everything as soon as we arrived home from school and check out the new Transformers Construct-Bots Elite and Scout Action Figures. Out came all of the pieces that were in the boxes…

Let me tell you what, as a parent who is horrible at following instructions, I must admit my heart went a little bit into my throat upon opening and dumping out all of these parts! Pieces everywhere and two excited boys thinking their Mama was going to ROCK THIS!

Little did my sons realize that I have no clue when it comes to following instructions for stuff like this, by the way these are rated for ages 6 and up but my 5 year old is used to small parts so he was able to complete one of the Transformers Bots with my supervision with success!

I simply gave both boys their parts and the little instruction booklet that came for both packages and said “have at it”. That is when the 5 year old said “But I can’t read instructions”. I giggled and showed him the instruction booklet, which is all pictures, step by step he could follow along with pictures to work on building his own Transformers Construct-Bots. Finally, in a rather quick time for a five year old he had his Construct-Bots all built while I was still struggling in helping the seven year old.

Transformers Fun for Boys

My five year old showed me up last night and he was shockingly proud about that fact. With our heads hung low, the seven year old and I attempted to keep on going and get his Transformers Construct-Bot built based on the instruction booklet, but alas I had to call in the big guns and have my boyfriend help because I was lost and so was my son.

Finally we had the seven year old’s Transformers Construct-Bots ready for show time … and the boy was super happy and proud to have it completed!

What a fun family event for sure! After we had our little play time, the seven year old gladly sat at the dining room table to complete his homework. It was a win-win evening for Mom and sons!

I’m so glad you had fun with those! My husband does the building work here too. I try, but alas end up needing the put-it-together GPS too. ;)

    These are great.
