The Game of Mancala

Santa brought Aj the game of Mancala and he was so happy! This is my video game, board game, any game addicted kid. I am first and foremost thankful that he has a game addiction that involves things such as board games as well as video games because I am not a “sit your kid in front of video games” sort of parent. Aj’s video game usage has to be heavily monitored and while I am not always perfect at monitoring the time on his games, I try my best to keep it at a minimum of 20 minutes per day.

When Aj received Mancala from Santa I was so freaking excited! This is a game I learned how to play in the 6th or 7th grade along with me having learned to play Chess {a game Aj also knows how to play}. The only issue with us now having Mancala is that I do not understand how to play it exactly. The instructions that came with this Mancala game do not really lay things out in a way that I understand. Call me slow, call me memory loss girl, call me what you will .. but seriously, how do you accurately play Mancala? Do you know?

  1. This was my oldest son’s favorite game years ago, and it was fun. I have a vague memory of the rules, but not enough to reply accurately. Bet you can YouTube it for instructions though. 🙂
