{Book Review} The Line Between Here and Gone by Andrea Kane

What would you do if you had an amazing relationship that only lasted a short period of time before the guy disappeared, presumed to be dead? Well add that fact with the idea that you found out later you were carrying his child, then what would you do? Having no real proof as to whether the man of her dreams is alive or dead, Amanda did what any woman would do; fight to find out if the newborn who is battling a rare immune deficiency has a father who is alive somewhere and able to help cure their newborn son.

Excerpt From Press Release…

So when a friend emails her a photo of a man who looks identical to Paul, Amanda is stunned.  Angry and confused, she realizes that if Paul is somehow alive, he is Justin’s best hope. That’s when she turns to Forensic Instincts—a specialized team with a reputation for solving cases no one else can.

Comprised of a behaviorist, a techno-wizard, an intuitive, a former navy SEAL, a retired FBI agent and a human-scent-evidence dog, the FI team tackles the case on two fronts—the murder/disappearance of Paul Everett and his apparent resurfacing in Washington, D.C.

Excerpt From The Book:

As was his nose, a tiny version of Paul’s bold, straight nose with the slender nostrils. He even had the dimple in his cheek that was Paul’s.

My Thoughts on The Line Between Here and Gone

I could really relate to Amanda Gleason in this book because she was willing to do anything to fight for what she believed to be true and to fight to keep her son alive even if that meant going against her uncle, being called crazy by man and fighting for her own life in the process. The heart of a mother will do anything to protect their child and this book, The Line Between Here and Gone, really shows what a mother is capable of if their child is in risk of losing their life.

I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a bit of suspense along with detective type work. This is a fantastic book that I read within one week. Once started I could not put it down. So check out The Line Between Here and Gone in Hardcover or Kindle.
