If you have ever watched Dr. Drew then the term Sexual Addiction has certainly come up in your life. Whether you know about it because you experience it or just have heard of sexual addiction through media outlets; sexual addiction is a serious addiction that needs to be treated in a professional manner.
I have always been pretty aware of sexual addiction, for I am a person addicted to psychology in a way that doesn’t allow me to get a degree, for I am no good with the professional terms, but it allows me to read self help books such as this one, A Couple’s Guide to Sexual Addiction: A Step-by-Step Plan to Rebuild Trust & Restore Intimacy with an open mind.
It’s funny because I know so many people who have come and gone in my life that have an addiction with pornography and sexting as it would be called; these are things that are truly an addiction if they are something that tend to consume you more than wanting that close intimacy with your partner in life. The best way, in my opinion, to determine if you suffer from sexual addiction is to find out whether sexual type actions are causing a gap between you and your partner in life. If yes, then maybe you should check out this book to find out more on how to overcome sexual addiction.
Reading this book is honestly a more private way to come to the realization that you have a serious addiction with sexual desires. There are many ways one can come to have this sexual addiction, but reading this self help book for couple’s is the best way to open a couples eyes to the seriousness of the problem and ways to work together to move forward.
I could go on and on about this book, as it’s a topic very close to my heart, but I will give you the option to read it on your Kindle or in paperback form by purchasing it through Amazon or other book retailers you use. So go ahead, if you or someone you love is affected by sexual addiction or questioning if they are – please read this book. Reading a book to educate yourself or a loved one has never hurt anyone, so why not just check it out?
Disclosure: I received this book for free, however, the topic is very close to my heart and all opinions are truly that of my own.
