ABC Family has a series called Switched at Birth and on December 13th Switched at Birth Volume One was released on DVD for everyone to purchase. I must admit that I saw previews to this show and wanted badly to watch but I am busy with kids and working from home so the idea of me tuning in to television wasn’t exactly realistic. Catching up on Switched at Birth through their DVD set made it possible for me to get slightly addicted to the show and want to make time to watch it, maybe with laptop hooked to my lap to work during commercials.

Bay Kennish, a talented graffiti artist with an edgy streak, grew up in a wealthy family with happily married parents and an older brother. Daphne Vasquez, an athletic teenager who lost her hearing at an early age, grew up with a single mother in a working class neighborhood. When the girls’ worlds collide, family bonds are tested, new romances are sparked, and they start to learn that it’s who they are inside that matters, not where they grew up.

I’m glad to hear you liked it. I thought this looked pretty good too and hope to check it out as well. I’m always intrigued by stories like this and this one seems to have a lot of twists & turns. Should be a good watch!

I really like this show, they update it pretty frequently on Netflix so I catch it there. Also if you haven’t watched Secret Life of the American Teenager it is really good too.
