Working From Home vs Working Outside of Home
I know that not all mom's wish to really be that stay at home mom,…
Every year during the holiday season, probably starting in November and running through December you will find local stores have collection bins for canned goods and such. This is to donate to those who may not have the food they need and it’s sad to me that we don’t have this giving personality and bins all year round. I am guilty of getting caught up in my busy life as much as the other person is, but giving back is something I really try to focus on.
Every year we always buy some canned goods to drop into the bins at our local Walmart and one year when my daughter was about two years or three years old, this was before her brothers were born obviously, we were in Walmart buying some canned goods for the bin, I allowed her to choose whatever she wanted.
Ki chose a can of peas at first then she looks up at me, holding this can of peas and says “but Mama, what if they don’t like peas?” and I giggled at this thought coming from such a young girl. Then she says, almost as if she read my own mind “well I guess if they don’t have any food at all to eat, they will eat peas and be thankful that they have some food”. I died of laughter, not laughing at her, but at the situation of this conversation with such a little girl.
This has been Ki’s nature, all of her life this girl has given to others, helped others and always seems to take to that kid in class who may need some extra assistance. I love my daughter and am so proud to say that even at almost 9 years of age she still has this giving personality … all year round!
