Heading Into Week 3 with @nutrisystem #NSNation Update

I have lost 5lbs total on Nutrisystem and have even shared a before and after picture on my Happily Blended Facebook page for you all to see.

I have also lost some inches and gained .5 inches on waist, that is sort of disappointing but the workouts I have been doing seem to be focused more so lately on my upper arms and legs which would make sense the inches are going away on those areas of my body right now. This week I plan to add some stomach exercises to work on that mid section area in combination with my other workout routines.

I am excited to be seeing inches and weight going down instead of upwards. To me this means Nutrisystem combined with a daily exercise routine, even some days simply walking, that you will lose weight and inches! Some days I just take a nice walk and don’t do my actual workout. As long as you are conscious of what you put into your body and getting daily exercise this program works awesome!

I did “cheat” so to speak a couple of times, having a piece of greasy pizza, but I found that I was able to eat one piece of pizza versus the 2-4 I would eat previously. I find I am listening to my body … when my stomach is full I don’t eat any more. Also I am aware that it takes some time for your stomach to feel full so don’t over eat is the key! Having  a big box of pizza in the house means your eyes are wanting to eat more and more just because it’s a special treat but when you do that you are risking losing all of the hard work you have put into your diet and exercise routine.

Nutrisystem offers pizza for both dinner and lunch menus which is something I have loved, I could live on pizza seriously! The other favorite food of mine from Nutrisystem is their breakfast omelets as well as their banana nut muffin for breakfast. My favorite dinner I must admit is the thick crust pizza and last night I had the Salisbury steak with macaroni and cheese which was delicious.

Inches Before:

  • Upper Arms – 15.3″
  • Chest – 45.5″
  • Waist – 44.5″
  • Hips – 46″
  • Thighs – 24.5″

Inches Now:

  • Upper Arm: 14″ (down 1 & 1/4″)
  • Chest: 45.5″  (same)
  • Waist: 45″ (up 1/2″)
  • Hips: 45′  (down 1″)
  • Thighs: 24.5″ (same)

I also lost .5″ on my calf leg area!

To me, because I have had a food or two outside of the normal “meal plan” means that I am a real person, we all fall down so to speak and give in, but the key is to keep your mindset in the right focus and don’t give yourself a hard time if you eat something not so good for this routine and start the next day or next meal off right! For me, this has helped me continue to lose weight and inches. Keep your mindset a positive one no matter what!

So I am moving forward in reaching my goal. The goal is to lose 50lbs in this four months on Nutriystem. I can do this!

  1. Congratulations on your first 5 pounds! I, too, LOVE the Nutrisystem pizzas…especially the turkey pepperoni and the flatbread. YUM! And I’m with you…if I do cheat, I have a small amount of the bad food, rather than stuffing my face like I would have before. Keep it up!
