May 7, 2011 was National Train Day this is the 4th annual “holiday” celebrated by Amtrack where there were day long events in four U.S. cities; Washington D.C., Los Angeles, Philadelphia, and Chicago. We were celebrating in our own way at the Happily Blended household.

We played a great game of Traintastic Cargo and watched a new Chuggington DVD called “Chuggers to the Rescue”. Baby K and I were a little silly while playing the game, after all he is two and has a short attention span.

What a fun filled day we had playing games, watching Chuggington DVD’s and coloring with Chuggington Color Wonder sets from Crayola that even Baby K did well with. So much fun for one day and the boys were excited that Mama took the time to celebrate National Train Day with them. We are a lover of trains and Chuggington just rocks!

National Train Day will be celebrated in our household next year too because we just think this is a fab holiday creation!
