Let me start this post off by saying I purchased my copy of the 30 Day Shred, and am not writing this as a review nor am I receiving compensation. Now that that is out of the way, today was my first day doing the 30 Day Shred and I must share my thoughts with you.
I want to post up a before photo so that we can get this started off right, but it is me in a bra and dress pants… from the side view and although I think it will end up being a great before photo when my 30 days are done, I feel it may not be 100% appropriate for my blog, so you will have to wait to see that and maybe I will post it up on my BeachBody site instead of on here. I am combining this workout with my Shakeology daily intake.
I will measure inches as soon as I unpack my darn tape for measuring inches and at the end of 30 days share with you all stats. I am not a lose weight on scale kind of person, I always lose inches versus weight. I assume this simply means I put on muscle and lose fat, muscle weighs more than fat so it’s all good!
My goal is to lose about 20 lbs or at least lose two pants sizes for now, once that is done I will determine where I am at and if I need to pursue a new goal. Start little … dream big! I also am curious if this 30 Day Shred program really is all it is cracked up to be. I have no clue who Jillian Michaels is, GASP … I know everyone says that to me, but what I can say is in Day One I have learned she doesn’t mess around.
This is the perfect workout for me, it is combining so many exercises into one that the twenty minutes of work out seems like it was only a mere few minutes of your morning! I was impressed with how fast the workout went, you see other workouts seemed to get results but they were taking me forever to complete, with two hyper boys in my house, the work out I do needs to be intense and within twenty minute time frame or else I won’t finish the workout due to Mama duties coming up.
Once I was feeling like I could do no more of the workout, the workout changed, it changed so fast that you were able to get that OMG I need to quit feeling and boom be onto another workout. I think this is going to be a great energy, mind and soul booster for me! In turn I will be getting fit, healthier and teaching by example to my children that daily exercise isn’t about losing weight, it is about being healthy!
Have you all tried this yet? What did you think of it? Did you complete the whole 30 days?
I have it and I love it! I have started it over again, I stopped when it got warmer and started to run. I made it to 20days, 10 days on each level. I have not done level 3 yet, but level 2 is a killer LOL! I hate jumping jacks and I think that is the only thing I dislike. It gets you up, moving and love how you sweat so hard in 20mins! Good luck with it and I will come back and see how you are doing!
I hate that workout, but I also love it. She’s a wench though.
I don’t have her DVD but have heard good things about it and would like to get it eventually! I try to get to Jazzercise class one to four times a week when I get my butt in gear! Working out at home is very hard for me but I’ve always thought maybe Jillian could whip me into shape! Good Luck!
