Walt Disney Fantasia & Fantasia 2000 DVD Review

On November 30, 2010 Walt Disney released the 2 movie collection of Fantasia and Fantasia 2000 combined in a special 4-Disc Blu-ray Combo Pack and 2-Disc DVD! My family received a 4-disc special edition of Fantasia & Fantasia 2000, which includes 1 dvd of each movie and 1 Blu-ray disc for each movie.

My family doesn’t have a Blu-ray player so we were only able to watch the DVD versions of both Fantasia and Fantasia 2000. I will be honest in that when I first watched Fantasia years ago I was unable to get into it. Fantasia bored me completely and I don’t even believe I had ever fully finished watching the VHS version back in the day, but since I’ve grown older and my mind is more open to musicals I wanted to give this movie another shot.

Our family loved every last moment of Fantasia and Fantasia 2000, being that we have watched it at least once daily since the day we received it I guess you can see we truly do enjoy this treasurable movie. My children are 8, 4 and 2 years of age, the 8 and 4 year old will sit through both movies, however, my 2 year old is at an age where he rarely sits still for a thing. My four year old son often requests Fantasia or Fantasia 2000 be put in now during movie time and he sits calm through the whole film admiring all of the film.

I don’t have a Blu Ray player and I have never seen Fantasia so this might not be the first thing on my holiday to do list
