Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue is now out on Blu-ray and DVD from Disney. My family was so excited to receive an advance copy of Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue in the Blu-Ray, DVD combo. I thought the best way to introduce you to this movie would be to first share all of the characters, and for those who didn’t know … Tinker Bell now has her own Star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame yesterday, September 21, 2010. Congrats Tink, with a history going all the way back to the 1950′s you certainly deserve it! Check out the video on DisneyMovies YouTube Channel.
Let’s Meet the Characters of Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue
TINKER BELL – A Tinker Fairy: Tink is feisty…yet charming and loveable. Armed with a positive attitude and a talent for tinkering, Tink’s curiosity towards human’s lands her into hot water during a summer trip to the mainland.
VIDIA – A Fast-Flying Fairy: The fastest of the fast-flying fairies, Vidia often clashes with Tink because of Tink’s impetuous , rule-bending exploits. When Vidia’s attempt to teach Tinker Bell a lesson backfires, she rallies her fellow fairies and risks everything to rescue Tink!
TERENCE – A Pixie Dust Fairy: To ensure a successful summer, Tink’s good friend spends the season delivering pixie dust to fairy camps throughout the mainland.
FAWN – An Animal Fairy: Always up for adventure, Fawn is a rough-and-tumble fairy who bravely takes part in Tink’s rescue, teaming up with Rosetta to tame Lizzy’s menacing cat.
CLANK & BOBBLE – Tinker Fairies: These goofy, gregarious best pals are almost never apart, but are quick to lend a hand when Tinker Bell needs help!
ROSETTA – A Garden Fairy: Brimming with confidence and grace, Ro has a quick wit and a ton of charms. Fiercely loyal to Tink, she is also the first to admit that Tink has a knack for finding trouble.
LIZZY: A spirited nine-year-old, Lizzy loves the countryside, as well as dolls, tea parties, and most importantly fairies. Her greatest wish is to find and befriend a fairy — a wish that could miraculously come true.
SILVERMIST – A Water Fairy: A spirited nine-year-old, Lizzy loves the countryside, as well as dolls, tea parties, and most importantly fairies. Her greatest wish is to find and befriend a fairy — a wish that could miraculously come true.
DR. GRIFFITHS: A dedicated scientist who works a bit too much, Dr. Griffiths learns a valuable lesson from his daughter Lizzy with a little help from her new friends.
IRIDESSA – A Light Fairy: A detail-oriented perfectionist and chronic worrier, Iridess’a goal in life is to keep things running smoothly and avoid trouble. However, when the fairy rescue team runs into trouble, Iridessa boldly saves the day.

What did my family think of Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue?
My daughter about fell over she was so excited to see we had this on DVD/Blu-Ray combo! One day after school we all sat down together and watched Tinker Bell and the Great Fairy Rescue. I was able to actually sit through the whole movie because not only was my daughter completely excited but my four year old son was so interested in Tinker Bell and all the fairies that he just stared in awe through the entire movie! Thanks Disney for making a movie all three of my children, two boys and one girl, could enjoy together with me as a family!

My kids were the same way they didn’t move an inch! I have to say this is NO easy task for any movie but Tinkerbell the great fairy rescue did the trick. We all watched it and they were just glued to it because it was just so cute!
