I recently had an issue with my blog and a Trojan, of course I didn’t realize it until about two weeks into the issue but luckily many of my readers were nice enough to contact me on FB and MomDot to let me know that this was happening. With a program called SiteLock you wouldn’t have to worry about this because once you have signed up and installed what you need to install SiteLock will automatically scan your website for vulnerabilities and malware to ensure your customers or visitors are not being blocked or spammed.
Protecting your blog from any vulnerability and being certain you back up your blog often seems to be a new task that bloggers must add to their lists of things to do. Lately hosting companies and blogs have been hacked into leaving visitors with viruses on their computers. Luckily whatever ended up on my site has been cleaned out and the blog is in good working order. It’s just better to be safe than sorry and make sure you protect your site from malware as soon as possible in any way you can!
What methods do you use to ensure your site is safe from malware and other vulnerabilities?

Hi Jenn! This particular program is for self hosted websites. As far as a free blogging platform, they could still get hacked into but not sure who would be on the back end to assist. I will have to look further into that and write about what I find… thanks for the great question
